My BF's Garmin is damaged, don't know how it happened.
When turned on, it looks like a cracked screen, only the (top) screen isn't damaged. I hope this makes sense. Only 2/3 of the screen data can be seen.
(1) Is it worth it to bother trying to get it repaired, and could an independent cell phone repair shop do this?
(2) He has no problem just replacing it with something else/a newer model, but wants the data transferred to the new unit.
I just use my cell phone for a GPS, so I know nothing about dedicated GPS'. TIA.
