New to the site but what a great resource! Apprecite all the time dedicated to helping others.
I have taken a maintenance position and the owner has a 2000 GMC C6500 24 foot Box Truck with automatic Allison Transmission.
Owner said to take it for a spin and he thought it shifted hard. I took it and it definitely has an issue or multiple issues. I've never experienced anything that shifted so hard between gears. It also stays in the lower gear for a long time before shifting over. It revs really high and the shift over is quite severe.
Anyone have any experience with common problems? Is it worth fixing? Any expert or knowledgeable techs in Colorado?
