Hello there,

We have recently purchased a 2007 Ram 2500 gas powered truck(long box) with the 5.7 and 4.10 gears, auto transmission.  We intend to tow a 2007 Springdale 29.8 BHGL, dry weight approximately 6900 lbs, in eastern Canada.  I have only towed pop up campers and small boats w/o any anti sway attached to the hitch and am looking for recommendations.  I will also talk with the RV dealer and most likely purchase the kit from him, any input appreciated.

There are three brands that seem ok:  Hensley-Arrow, the Mercedes of systems;  Reese Dual Cam, the unit I have used for a dozen years;  Equal-i-zer .  I like the systems that do not depend on a friction bar.

The tongue weight of your trailer is critical for getting the right set up.  On the Reese and Equalizer systems the tensile strength of your spring bars should be greater than the tongue weight.
