From what I have read here and elsewhere over the years, the Driveshaft Disconnect seems quite reliable when properly installed. The problems I have read about all get resolved when a competent shop gets involved to make sure it is aligned and balanced properly. That seems to mean a shop that specializes in drive line work, not an RV dealer.
The only other thing I recall is a vulnerability to severe road salt and dirt, like maybe winter driving in the northern states. Might require flushing, lube, etc. in that environment. I don't know if that is a common problem or not.
