Came across this article the other day.  We've probably seen 3 of these.  Some look pretty cool.

We have visited ten of them.  Would have been fun to have this article when we were still on the road.

I really cannot believe this town was not on the list. In my mostly useless opinion, this is one of the most unique towns in America.

Thanks for the post.  Been there and agree, it's quite nice.  Many of the towns along that route are pretty nice.  I'm hoping others will add towns when they see the post.  One of the towns we found pretty amazing was Eureka Springs, Arkansas.

We were just in Cedar Key, Florida in May and are returning again in November. We stayed/are staying at the Low Key Hideaway. Great little resort. Only 3 RV spots with full hook-ups, 5 hotel rooms and a Tiki Bar. It is an adults only resort 18 and up and only 2 people per RV or room. Very, very relaxing. Town is very cute. Loved walking on the pier and fishing.

7 for me.
I'm actually surprised I can claim that many, although my travel for work used to take me to some obscure places..... they usually were not travel/tourist haunts..... or otherwise nearly worthy for such a list.  Many places I was very careful to not loose anything because i never wanted to have to return.

We've have visited 7 of them. Grand Haven, MI is only 20 miles from us and a great place to visit. Avoid it during Coast Guard week if you don't like crowds.

I live near and one of my daughters lives in Frederick,MD.  Lots of Civil War history, close to Gettysburg.  Many state parks nearby.  Maryland pride!

Leavenworth is cute, but I was disappointed to learn that it's fake.  I thought Germans had moved to the area and brought the Bavarian thing with them, but a local told me Leavenworth was trying to figure out how to attract tourists and decided on the Bavarian theme.
