I used some old baby gates and about $20 in hardware to make a lift-in hinged cat gate that I can easily fold and store under the mattress.  Our one siamese has tested it....

Looks good. I traveled with three cats and the big problem for me was keeping them from going under the dash. I had to build a dam out of plywood.
 
My dash is ok, thankfully. But I need to restrict their movement while we traveling until they adjust and while we set up at campsites....
 
Good idea.  Getting started on full timing and the cats are one of the concerns.  Yes, they found the under dash area already.  Going to have to figure that out!
