I want to take my dish receiver on the road when we travel. Have what I think is a decent deal on this sat. dish. Not syre if it is compatible with my dishnetwork VIP211z . I am on the east coast if that matters. I have had Dish for 15 + yrs but never paid much attention to the way the sat work. Thanks for any help 
 
That's the Winegard Carryout model and it works with Dishh 211-series receivers. Here is the basic manual for it:

Note that the output of the 211z is either HDMI or composite video/audio. It does not have the 75 ohm coax  output that was common in RVs up until  5-6 years ago. I don't know what mods have been done to your '96 Serengetti, but I'm guessing at least digital tvs have been added. However, that doesn't mean the basic cabling was upgraded at the same time.
 
This antenna is very hard to aim. Managed to get weak signal but could not fine tune it. Can't get over high 20 s. Glad I didn't pay full price
