I have been sorely disappointed with the Magnadyne radio and DVD player that came with my HR Ambassador.  Just wondering if any of you have found it necessary to replace the stock unit?  I don't know at this point if it's just a lousy design, or if my unit is malfunctioning.  Under warranty - but I HATE it - hence the need to change it.

It freezes quite often when playing a movie and is a pain to change radio stations when driving.

I just purchased what I hope will be a more suitable replacement.

I do have some experience with this type of unit - as I have the AVIC D-2 navigation/radio in my TOAD.  The only thing it does not do on the D-2 is video.

Reports are that it has great DVD playback.

In addition, I will have navigation built into the Motor Coach.

I am now waiting for a contractor to pour a cement pad for me at home so that I can finally keep the coach at home - rather then a storage facility.  Once that's done, I will have the new video/radio unit installed.
