On one of our rare visits to the movie theater, today we saw the movie 'Sully', directed by Clint Eastwood and starring Tom Hanks as Captain Chelsea 'Sully' Sullenberger. Not at all what I expected, but a very well made and acted movie. If you haven't yet seen it, but plan to, I won't spoil the pleasant surprise.

Um, you don't know what happened?  ;)

Ha ha, we know the end but not the in between!  I am looking forward to seeing it too, hope it's not showing on the plane on the way home!!

I really enjoyed it. I have made a number of references to the "moral of the story" at work...if I say more it could spoil it, you will know what I mean...

Within a few days of the incident, Sully wrote of the experience and I was privileged to read it.  Sully was well experienced in gliders and well versed in the technique,,,,,which he put to good use during the "incident". As a 33 year pilot myself with a glider  & floatplane rating,, I felt everything he was going through....(Altho an airliner makes a poor glider)>>>Dan
