My HWH model 725 jacks have been fun to deal with for their entire lives. Recently they have refused to work at all. Sometimes I will hear a little "clunk" from the vicinity of the main unit but not always. First time this happened was when attempting to retract the jacks to return home from our winter stay in Florida. Yesterday I went out to exercise them and got the silent treatment once again. I have found that if I wiggle the big connector (picture attached) they will start working. This not an optimum solution.
As with many things electronic or electrical, unplugging them and plugging them back in will sometimes wipe the connectors and restore them to functionality. I would like to do that with this massive connector but am not sure how it comes apart. The red part seems to be a latching device that allows some movement but I am unable to get the connector apart. HWH (helpful folks that they are) tell me I need a special tool to separate this thing and it's not available. Perhaps so but I'm skeptical.
Has anyone had experience with this thing and if so can you offer any advice.
