Some of us went to dinner at the Blue Pig, a new Bbq place in Moab. Food was good, company was great.

Here's a closer look at the Birthing Panel in case you wondered where the name came from. OTOH, if you look at it upside down, it looks an awful lot like Casper the Ghost :)

The Happy Hour this afternoon was held on the patio of Barb and Frank in the high rent district because our Pavillion was filled with tent campers.

Photo of Mike  from yesterday for Care Bear included.  He gave it to Judy today with the embellishment of a COKE Mediallian. We learned  Judy gave Jannine  some physical therapy on the hike today for a sore shoulder.

Dick  presenteed The Chicken Award to Barb for being so enthusiastic about  4 wheeling that they went  out with the Big Yellow Jeep today.  They appreciated the sparked interest and reported that run may be the highlight of their trip!

Terry and Lou made a joint presentation of the Goofy Award for having a bad day ,  to Chris because he broke his Jeep window and then asked friends to go in his car on a chilly evening.

What a group!

Many brave souls went on the  Firey Furnace  Hike today but I have renamed it the " Butt Crack Crawl."  I do not recall so many boulder scrambles in year's past.  Here are  photos to show what I  am  talking about.

Hey Dick, glad to see you took the "kids" 4 wheeling.  Wish we could have made it.  Seems like a fun bunch of folks.

Everyone we expected to attend has now arrived.  We have 20 RVs with a total of 39 people.  The Nesbitts have to leave tomorrow and may be heading into snow up toward Yellowstone.  Today was gorgeous and sunny so we're hopeful they'll have a good trip north.  The Bruckers also will leave tomorrow.

Today's hike to Delicate Arch was great with twelve people.  Three cheers for Judy Wagner who conquered her fear of heights and not only went all the way out the trail but also right down to the arch to have her picture taken under it.

The people who went four wheeling to Spring Canyon apparently had quite a day, especially because the Green River was higher than they expected.  But I'll let them tell you about their adventure.

Tonight's happy hour ended with a hamburger dinner with cole slaw and potato salad provided by Doug of the Portal RV Park.  Sheila added her home made carrot cake for dessert and someone brought a broccoli salad.  All in all, a yummy dinner.  Doug of Portal also surprised us with a raffle in which prizes included hats, tow straps, and two people got stays at Portal in 2012.  Thanks to Doug for a delightful surprise.

We hikers are a bit weary after two strenuous days so we're going to rest a bit tomorrow while the four-wheelers go on the Top of The World trail (difficult) and to Sego Canyon and ghost town (easy).  Tomorrow night is the Canyonlands by Night dinner and cruise on the Colorado River.

Today's weather was beautiful and so was the evening activity.  We were happy to meet the long awaited Mike and Chrystal and their college son, Jarrod.
We also saw Corrine for the first time.  Seems she is still burdened with the world of work,  but had the evening off to join us.  Stan showed up to join the fun this evening too.  Bill brought some very nice samples of fine red wine for those of us who embibe to sample.  Yum

And now the AWARDS......Ta Duh.....

Mike was nominated twice for the Care Bear award, 1. For helping a stranded foreign tourist start his car this morning.  2. He also closed the front door on  Randy and Debbie's rig this morning.  Seems they left on the 4 wheel trip and left their front door ..WIDE OPEN.  RVForum Framily sticks together.

The Goofy plunger award went to Terry B who  left his gloves on the fender after airing down and drove off.  Chris picked them up but embellished the award with a fresh supply of rubber gloves and a touch of poop. ( Paper towel with bad looking stuff on it)

Barb left  this award open for nominations so I suggested  Happy Chicken go to Randy.  I  was taking what I hoped would be an artsy shot of jeep tops while we were parked for lunch.  When  I looked into the view finder  to preview my shot I saw Randy facing a bush doing his business. Fortunately I do not have a telephoto lens.  I figured when I  shared this photo everyone would have a laugh.  Be careful where you point your camera during a lunch break.

Doug, owner of Portal RV Resort provided a wonderful hamburger feed tonight.  In addition he  gave each of us an orange ticket and held a raffle.  Don't we all love prizes?

Hats, tow straps, Big Rig Books and  3 free nights for a 2012 stay  were among the prizes.  See happy winners in my photos.  What a generous way to end the evening!

Mike L. deserves a mention for figuring out we had to turn on the switch.  ;D :p

Dominos delivers to Delicate Arch (but not in 30 minutes so Mike got it free).

Fortunately, when Betty took the photo, I was facing (and peeing) toward the bush. Had I been facing away from the bush and toward the camera, it would have been obvious that there was no need for a telephoto lens. And then, I might have been embarrassed or, more likely, proud. Although I'm not sure which!!

Yeh, yeh.  More likely a different twist on your eyes being bigger than your "stomach".
