After reading endless threads on who has the NICEST, SMALLEST, GENTLEST or CALMEST Li'l POOPER SCOOPER,  I  was determined to find the biggest dog and the calmest dog to have as a traveling companion so I can brag on him, when a new thread starts up like the one about  the Pig as a traveling companion below.  I bet if he was a licensed service animal like my dog there would be no issue at all.

I was at the Allamakee Co Fair when I found the dog of my dreams.  He is full grown, his name is "Squirt",  I was told he is a pure bred South Russian Ovcharka. ;)  He is so gentle he won't even eat meat.  He is a vegan.  8)

We are in the process of selling our TT and getting a 5r Toy Hauler to let him have his own room when on the road.

I have  posted a picture  of "Squirt" ;D

Well if you can have pigs in campgrounds why not Squirt.

I just went out to int.explorer and brought a website of images for the dog.  O M G  I would not want to run into one of those monsters at night  in a dark alley if he was hungry

I've read that more people are killed by cows than by sharks every year.

So don't swim in the water tank.

Our first camping dog was a Burnese Mtn Dog mix. Hard to tell if he was gentle or not as he was generally asleep and too lazy to move when he was awake.

Wouldn't let us in to a Myrtle beach CG. She's 5 years old and is such a sweet heart. Goes out of her way to make the uncomfortable stranger comfortable. She can just tell. She'll lay down and inch closer and closer till she's at your feet begging for attention. Loves chewing a baseball to pieces after she's had enough fetch...

The OPs picture looks remarkably similar to a Newfoundland I know ;-) . As a pup in puppy obedience classes, the owners had a dreadful time with "sit" commands because the dog just wanted to lay down. There was also some type of small terrier in the class. We all know that terriers are 20 times bigger in their minds than their bodies, and that terrier just wanted to tear the Newfie up! Generally the only response from the Newf was for her to open one eye half-way, look at the terrier, then go back to sleep.

I was looking around the RV reviews web site the other day and came across a CG called The Breeze in Texas. You can't camp there with a Rottie, Dobie, Pit, Chow or wolf Hybrid.

And then there are campgrounds such as Daggett Lake Campsites in NY, that are extremely pet-friendly and feature things like an annual "Dog Days" and a separate Doggie Beach.

...yeah. Funny thing is, ya know how many bad encounters I've had with them little dogs? I don't remember exactly, but the number is up there a ways. Of course they never do much physical damage, but I find anymore that I'm terrified of the little guys.

Given an hour or so with our pup and there isn't a soul on the planet who wouldn't change their mind. I've had family and friends after a few days together offer to baby sit anytime.

She's really great

If Spielberg had known that, I wonder what movie he would have made instead of Jaws...

Campin-fool....Love, love, love your pup. I can tell she is just a doll! I'll gladly babysit her anytime. :)

My 10 pound Min Pin, up until I had to have her put down last month, used to catch birds out of the air. We have a sort of flyway in my backyard where these small birds love to fly down and up in a "U" pattern. She used to hide between two bushes and managed to occasionally snag one out of the air.

My bird dog Min Pin was better than a shot gun.

Cuds! With cowbells instead of the Jaws theme song? And Chief Brody sayin "You're gonna need a bigger truck..?

A bit late I guess. I just noticed this. She is a doll and thank you. Hope all is well.
