I hate advertisements and usually I totally ignore them but last week an ad popped up for an endoscope on sale for $29 (regular $35) and I went and bought it on impulse, which is something else I normally don't do.

It arrived this morning and I am thrilled with it. It has a 12 foot cable and broadcasts on Wifi. Put an app on my phone and it picks up the signal and displays it on the phone. Does photos and video. I really don't have a good use for it, but I figured for $29 it was cheap enough just to leave in the drawer and if I ever need it I will have it. Comes with several attachments for the end of the scope. One has a magnet, one has a hook and one has a mirror on it. The endoscope has a light on the end and the light brightness is adjustable.

I took a few quick photos that I posted below. One shot is my tongue and tonsils, one is of the inside of one of my ukuleles, one is the inside of my drum stick bag and a shot of my eye. I could do my own colonoscopy now! I could go into business. Tom's Cutrate Colonoscopy Center. Oh no, wait, I can't, I am not a doctor. One more thing my smart phone can do that a DSLR can't do.

Do you want the $29 colonoscopy with Tom's endoscopy machine or the $5 colonoscopy with the gopher wearing a Go Pro camera? ;D ;D ;D ;D

A rather useless device.  May as well stick it up your a##.

Actually, I've had a second thought.  It would be great for finding stuff you can't reach.

Not useless at all.  I bought one when the top of an oil spout broke off and went down the filler tube.  The scope verified that it hadn't reached the oil pan so I sucked it out with a vacuum cleaner.  Saved me a lot of work and money.

It has not been used since though.

I think Molaker was making a joke. I guess ya'll didn't get it. ;D

Looks like the $29 sale is over but still may get one of these. Will sit in the toolbox for a year no doubt, but when they're needed can be great. I could actually use one right now, can't determine if I may have a fan out on the fridge, and just can't see it from the back. Gonna have to have the fridge pulled on Monday to check

I feel the same way. I may never need it but I will never regret having it in my toolbox. ;D
