I'm pretty intrigued by the many "My Pillow" (MyPillow.com) ads and commercials... I mean, who doesn't want a nice comfy sleeping pillow?  But even with the best promo code I can find (2 regular pillows and 2 travel pillows for 1 "low" price), I'm still reluctant to pay $40-50 for a pillow.  Amazon reviews are okay, not great.  Some people love the thing, some people hate it.  There are a lot of other brands of cubed-memory-foam pillows available, but maybe My Pillow is different somehow?  Or maybe it's just the power of frequent advertising.

Anyone have one of these?  Or other pillow brand/style you swear by?  Historically I buy cheap $5 foam pillows and replace them every 6 months or so, but I'd be open to an upgrade if it's worth the extra $$$.

Same here Scott. Methinks it's a bunch of smoke and mirrors.

I have owned two memory foam pillows and neither one lasted a month before being thrown away. Here is the $40 pillow I am currently using and I love it.

Scott,
Don't get sucked in by those "my pillow" ads.
This is a MN based company. I've met the guy.
It's just a d*** expensive pillow, albeit better than the $10 ones.
Great marketing. Ads are everywhere. Very compelling, with "testimonials" of folks that say their insomnia is cured.
IMHO, save your money.

Hey that one happens to be on Cyber Monday "lightening deal" currently... $31.98 until they are all claimed.

I remember a buckwheat pillow informercial some years back too, and always wondered if that was really any kind of magical material for head-layin'.

Amazon offers a 30 warranty for a full refund so try it out and if you don't like it send it back. Meanwhile read the honest reviews on Amazon about the pillow. The cool thing about it is that it keeps it's shape, does not spring back.

How long have you had yours Tom?

FWIW, I've been using a memory foam pillow for the last four years and love it.  It's even been to Afghanistan and back twice.  Not sure where the DW got it, but I think Bed, Bath & Beyond.

Gil and I have "My Pillows" and his has visibly more stuffing than mine; so I think quality control is iffy. Do we like them? No miracles have been experienced but we do like them far better than other brands/materials we have wasted money on.

My Pillow is a piece of crap.  I took one apart.  It's a bag full of random chunks of foam.  That's all it is.  No 'special' foam.  No special construction.  No nothing to set it apart from a generic $10 pillow except a marketing campaign.

My favorite pillow is a memory foam one from Costco.  One side is memory foam and the other is regular foam.  I choose the side that fits my 'mood' atbthe time.

Just don't get your muddy paws all over it ???

What so funny about that Tom is that yesterday we had just enough rain to make mud and the girls joyously tracked it all over the house.  I think they were extra careful to make sure the bed and pillows got more mud than anywhere else.

And I am sure you really believe that. I, on the other hand, am a great fan of "My Pillow". While I never took any pillow apart I have slept on mine since February and really like it. We have washed them twice and occasionally fluff them on air in the dryer. They have far out preformed our expectations and I recommend giving them a try.
