Several forum members have asked to see photos of my interior redesign to my 94 Damon Challenger 32 foot class A that I bought about three months ago. I still have a long way to go. I am changing the color over from blue to brown, but I won't get to change the carpet and the seats until I get to see Ernie this winter. So at the moment it is an ugly two tone.

The motorhome has two configurations. Driving and parking in an RV park. These first 8 photos show the parking mode. I have replaced all the shutters with drapes that I made myself. I was suppose to have a lady come and hem them and iron them and she stood me up, so the drapes look ugly still. I keep my guitars under the keyboard for safe storage.

To convert from driving to parking modes I have to change the position of the trap door. This gives me a lot more room in the living room.

Here is the parking mode with all the drapes closed for watching TV or playing video games, like The Beatles: Rock Band, which I play every morning. I have a shrine to the Beatles located right next to the keyboard. That is a copy of the Hofner bass Paul plays.

Lookin' good Tom....Looks like it gives you a lot more usable space for your instruments without the furniture. I've been trying to convince my wife to let me take out the passenger seat for my toy storage, but she refuses to stay home...! Just kidding...! ;D

Thanks Dennis. That was one of the reasons I bought this particular rig. The dinette and all the living room furniture had been removed. It is not easy to remove a dinette, I did it on my last RV. I don't have slides so the lack of furniture makes the room feel much larger than a typical RV without slides.

One thing that is interesting to me is that I lived for a year in a 32 foot class C and now I am living in a 32 foot class A. The A feels about 6 or 7 feet longer than the C did due to the cockpit being part of the living space.

Thank you Tom. I am going to have to keep this RV for a few years since it is such a hassle to do all the modifications I have done. But certainly worth the effort.

Really nice job Tom and glad to see another Beatles Fan. Also that one shot favors Taz.

Initially when I saw the dish on the floor in front of the key board I was confused.  But later when you explained that the furniture had been removed I understood.  But, don't your knees get sore eating on the floor all of the time?

Thanks Wiz. Not only am I a Beatles fan I am a HUGE Beatles fan. I already owned I Want to Hold Your Hand on Feb 2nd, 1964 when the Beatles first appeared on Ed Sullivan. I saw them live in 65 at the Hollywood Bowl and live in 66 at Dodger Stadium. I saw George on the Dark Horse tour, Paul on the Wings over America tour and Ringo at a benefit. At the peak I had over 1000 Beatles records in my collection. I play Beatles Rock Band every day. I can play a lot of their songs on real instruments. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

I thought you meant the drums for a minute.  Might work for sticky solids like pork chops with BBQ sauce, would not work well for something with a sauce.

Then I saw the dish you referring to on the floor.

Great job, Tom. Once you get the color scheme completed, one will never know.

I have a couple that live totally off the grid and come in to work in a shop on her father's land just south of Belen in Bosque NM. Joanne is an excellent upholsterer and seamstress. I was referred by word of mouth. She restrung my day-night shades before we went to AZ last winter.

If the conversion isn't done by the time you're headed for Bosque del Apache, she's right on the way. Also, the refuge just n of Bernardo has grown in bird population and if you come early, before the Festival of the Cranes, you might get some great shots. If you want her #, I give it to you via msg.

I thought he was talking about my round blue chair that looks like a satellite dish.

Tom, if your plans are for reupholstery of the captains chairs, there is a guy in Ft Worth that did some outstanding work and he charged 250 bucks a chair. I believe that included  the fabric. Ernie- he will do ours, soon

Ernie - Yes my plans are to get the ugly blue chairs reupholstered. You told me via a PM that we could throw the chairs into your van and drag them to Fort Worth to get them done and that is what I am planning on doing. $250 a chair sounds reasonable. I asked you if we would remove the bed or not and since then I have discovered the carpet does go under the bed. But you can do it which ever way you want since you are the expert. It just appears to me that it would be easier to remove the bed than to work around it. I am still on track to be in your area in December. This half blue half brown interior has got to go.

Looks good Tom! Have you mastered playing the drums and cooking at the same time? LOL  I see that Tarzan and Jane have given you quite a bit of room.

I have mastered neither playing the drums nor cooking separately or at the same time. I can play the solo to Inna-Gadda-Da-Vida and if someone pays me enough money I won't bother them with it.
