Thanks Betty, but that is not a shot from our condo.  The photo is taken from the Hyatt Regency.  I checked there rates yesterday for a week in feb is $406 a night for the cheapest room......... way out of my range.  We are in a small two story condo a block from the beach (  www.echosailsmotel.com ) at a much lessor rate.

There's room for a few coaches; Maybe we could have a mini rally there? Just need to make new covers for the parking meters that say 'Parking OK (and free)'.

Has it occurred to anyone that the owner of the big motorhome put the red bags on the meters so they would have lots of elbow room?

Is there some sort of special event coming up and the RV occupant is involved in the planning ? I've seen parking meter covers like that before when the wanted to stop parking before and after an event. Do you really think someone could park like that for days if they didn't have some sort of permission ?

P.s. George, go enjoy the beach and the town and quit worrying about how and why the guy is parked where he is.

I think you all are really confused.

That is an obvious shot from Minneapolis.  You can tell by those long leafed things off to the left.  I see no beach in site.
And very obviously you are looking at the front of the RV, and that thing dropped down in front is a snow plow to anticipate the next snowfall.  :)

I think the strangest part of this story has to be that you are spending your time and energy, two days in a row, from several different angles/locations, to take pictures of some stranger's vehicle, and then post it online.

Maybe they intended to stop for an hour, and then their child got sick, so they rushed him to the hospital and left their RV there. Maybe they know something you don't about the rules and regulations of the area. Maybe the occupants of the RV were kidnapped by a drug cartel. Maybe they just have a crap-ton of money and don't care about getting a ticket. No matter the reason, it's irrelevant.

If I noticed a strange man photographing my RV for two days, I would call the police. I think you should probably just go enjoy the beach, and leave it be.

You all have it wrong.
This is obviously Robert De Niro's custom designed climate controlled motorhome from "Meet the Fockers"
You can see the Kevlar reinforced hull, 2 inch plexiglass windows, and interior and exterior CCTV cameras. It surely has a soundproof cockpit and a horn that plays "Puff the Magic Dragon."
When you're a high level CIA operative, you can park anywhere ya dammwell please.  ;D ;D

Well.................... He is still there so he must have some sort of special dispensation.

Well, it was good for some idle discussion, George. Are you going to keep your camera focused to catch the moment when the rig is towed away?

In the 80's I was the appointed 'dock master' for a salmon fishing tournament out of the Berkley marina. We had 80 participating boats from 3 clubs, and I decided I didn't want to deal with our boat or have it be in the way. So I booked a ride on one of the participating boats, and we boondocked in our RV overlooking the marina.

At 2:00am I woke up to loud bangs on the door, saw a bright light, and knew it must be local law enforcement. I thought I'd be quiet, pretending there was nobody home. Then Chris woke up and started yelling "there's someone at the door".

I tried explaining "we're with that boat club over there", but got a blunt response "move on". At 2:30am we checked into the Marriott Hotel at the marina, took a room, and put the RV in their back lot for the remainder of the weekend.

Finally.....the REAL answer.  Nicely done.  :)

I go to the beach several times a day and always have a camera with me. You can bet I will get photos if I catch them being towed away.

Since George started this whole thing, I think he should go knock on the RV door and politely ask why he's parked there.
knock on the door and say "Move on".
But do it at night with a bright light shining in the window.
