Title: Honda Generator
Post by: Gary31 on October 31, 2016, 09:54:23 AM
Here is an upgrade I did to my Generator. Makes it possible to load into the TH by myself, this thing is a brick when full of fuel but I absolutely love this machine for boondocking.

As I recall Honda sells a "Kit" at least for the bigger Inverter Generators to do just that.. However I suspect your design has two advantages (And one disadvantage) over the OEM Kit

Lower cost
Better for what you are trying to do with it
and the disadvantage

no handle.. (Can be easily added )

Just need to add an electric motor to it so that you don't have to pull/push it. LOL

You know I will probably use a block and tackle mounted in the Toyhauler and use the Quad winch to jerk this thing up the ramp and into the garage ::) :).

The great thing about the wheels is that they roll good on wet or muddy ground not like the hard OEM wheel kits.

I'm an older full time traveler in a fifth wheel. Does anyone have any ideas for loading their generators in their truck beds? I have a 2000i, but with my back it's not doable all the time.  :(
