Title: Winnebago Industries purchases Grand Design travel trailers
Post by: John Canfield on July 13, 2017, 12:32:51 PM
I'm up here in Forest City, Iowa for the annual Grand National Rally and been busy renewing old friendships and making one or two new ones with WGO staff. I was told WGO has recently purchased Grand Design (Elkhart, IN) to expand their towable capacity. As far as I know this has not been publicly announced but it's not confidential information either, there's a Grand Design trailer parked on Rally Grounds which would be a clear tip-off anyway.

Grand Design is relatively new on the market and was a start-up by some former Thor staff; the company has already created quite a buzz among competitors with their quality product. WGO staffers are very excited about this acquisition, after I do a walk-around of the Grand Design TT I'll report back in the Winnebago board.
