Title: TRANSMISSION CONVERSION
Post by: iktruck on September 29, 2017, 04:37:29 PM
What is involved in converting transmission to an EATON-FULLER RTLOC-16909A-T2  213SP?

Depends on the difference in physical size if any.

And you may need a new computer.

Any tranny conversion depends on what you start from vs what you convert to, e.g. physical size, matching  to the engine flywheel, suitable tranny gearing for the load and rear axle ratio, etc. Fitting one onto a Smart-For-two would probably be a challenge.

Telling us the chassis, engine, and existing transmission would help us help you.

Anyone who has been around trucks much knows to stay away from any fuller tranny where the third digit is a "9"

Whoops. Never mind. I was thinking about "6".
