Bob and I are going to give it a shot again this year. We may even make it this time. Bob is doing so well, it looks like I may have to buy him a Christmas present even.  ;D

So put Bob and Caryl Pappas down for the 19th through the 27th.

I'm going to try to meet up with you guys for a happy hour or two, and perhaps a Jeep ride(or several).  I've got a reservation at a park in town but, as we all know, plans can change(mine have, twice, in the last 36 hours).
So, maybe we'll see you there, and maybe we'll be stuck in Arkansas for the winter.  We'll see.

We, after all, are retired and flying by the seat of our pants has been our lifestyle for years.

We really didn't want to spend the winter in Arkansas again.  However, I wasn't able to justify leaving the Grand Canyon and traveling back to Arkansas(business and doctors), then leaving Arkansas for Quartzite, only to have to go back to Pensacola in April for my son's wedding, and then blast back across to the Grand Canyon by May 1 for my hosting job.
I did get them to move the wedding a week.  That way I don't have to be in Pensacola on the 28th of April and Jacob Lake Arizona on the 1st of May.

Plans at this point(could change in the next 20 minutes for all I know)are for Quartzite next year.

We plan to attend this year and hope to arrive very close to the 19th, and expect to stay the duration.
Seems like travel plans are never "finalized" until the road is behind us.

Theresa and I are looking forward to this new experience and meeting you all.

This will be our longest boondock to date. I suspect we will have to dump at some point during the stay but will be fun to see just how long we can make it.

I suspect we will have to dump at some point ...

You can either drive across the highway and wait in line to dump, or you can call the honey wagon:

WB Heflin Sanitation, tel. (760) 922-8354.

One of our members (no names) had to call them immediately after arriving at QZ. Hope you last longer than that  ;D

There is fresh water and a dump less than a mile away if needed. For some boondocking becomes a challenge to last the week while others just plan on making the trip to the dump station mid-week, your (or Theresa's) choice. As is mentioned in the info on QZ arrive with full water, fuel, and propane and empty holding tanks.

We lived in Sterling for several years, are you close?

We all look forward to meeting you both!

Looks like plenty of options for dumping.

Sterling is a 60 mile drive northeast. I live close to the Moline airport.

Good morning Jeff, Margaret and I will be arriving on January 19th  we are running a little late this year due to a few Dr. Appointments. Nothing serious just yearly check ups. Look forward to trying the new to us diesel out on a longer trip. We have been doing a few short trips but not like the 1300 miles to Quartzite. Getting out of Texas takes a little time but we should arrive or the 19th looking forward to seeing everyone.

Dumping is easy and fast if you do it in the afternoon. Mornings can have long lines.

We've never been to Quartzite.  We are currently wintering in Phoenix and planning a day trip to Quartzite during the rally.  Good idea?  If so, any advice?
Title: Re: 2018 Quartzsite Rally - Reply Topic
Post by: Lou Schneider on December 17, 2017, 04:54:08 PM
Sure, but it will be a long day.  Phoenix is about 2 hours from Quartzsite.  Be sure to pack drinking water and chairs for the fire ring.  I-10 runs directly east - west, so you'll want to avoid driving into the sun but if you come out in the morning and go back in the evening the sun will be behind you.

Or you could bring the rig, even if only for a night or two.  Fill your fresh water tank and empty the waste tanks before you come.  It's only $40 to boondock for up to two weeks at the rally site, and there's plenty of room.  Nothing says you have to stay the whole time.

Post by: Larry N. on December 17, 2017, 04:55:55 PM
Certainly it's a good idea. Check out the map into the forum rally area from the link Jeff provided at the beginning of this topic, including looking at the pictures, then ask any questions you need to in order to clarify those direction for yourself -- you might also look the area up on Google Earth and try to "travel in G.E. to the forum site. Also, be sure to mention here which day you're coming (when you decide) so we can watch for you. We have "happy hour" (BYOB) each day at 4 PM, gathered around the fire ring.

We will be one of the first-timers.

Not sure I can handle Happy-Hour "every day", but will give it a good try. lol

Does everyone bring firewood? Can it be scavenged? If not, I assume it will be for sale close by?

I am planning on coming to Q a few days early and setting up.

I am going to leave the Mustang at home in Lake Havasu so I can carry several extra things for the project shop.

I will also bring a large roll around BBQ grill and three portable canopies.

I reordered LED supplies, some solar parts, a few flat screen TV mounts, and lots of hardware parts.

The deal is that any of the parts are free as well as tools, but you then need to pass it on in some way to someone else in the future.

If there is something special that you need for a project then try to bring it with you although there are places to get RV parts in Q as well as a hardware store on hwy 95 just north of the interstate.

I also finally got a Venturi exhaust for the generator.  I think I upset some people the last time I was in Q for not having one.

I will probably be there about the 16th if anyone is around to help me set up the canopies.

See you there.

If I remember right from past Q rallies, there are only four rules for the rally.

1. Where your name tag.
2. Where your name tag.
3. Where your D__ name tag.
4. No pets at events where there is food.

There is a flag at the site, (La Posa Tyson Wells).

After having Trailer brake problems on the way to KOFA I went straight to the Rally site in Quartzsite.  I will take my time figuring out the solution but I am safe here for now.

I walked around but did not find anyone from the Forum here this early.

Anyway there is a flag to help find the place, (assuming I found the right place, it looks like the same place).

Just in case there is a government shutdown in 4 days, does anyone know what happens at the BLM sites with services like this one?

Looks like I'm stuck in Pahrump until the first part of next week.  The transmission went out in the Bronco II, my only toad.  I took it to a transmission shop, originally they said they'd have it finished by Friday, but today their rebuild guy got called out of town due to a death in the family so it won't be ready until sometime next week.

On the plus side, it was a very graceful failure.  The transmission started dragging, slowing the car as I was cresting the summit on NV 160 going into Las Vegas.

I pulled over, shut it down and did a visual inspection of the transmission and fluid.  Then when I restarted it, the transmission went into limp mode, staying in third gear (direct drive).  Neutral and reverse also worked normally.

I was able to drive it back to Pahrump and towed it to the transmission shop yesterday.  If they hadn't already pulled the tranny I'd bring it to Quartzsite as-is, then get it fixed when I get back here.

I found this site, with questions and answers from 2013. They should still apply....

https://www.desertusa.com/dusablog/blm-faq-government-shutdown.html (https://www.desertusa.com/dusablog/blm-faq-government-shutdown.html)

In it I found this answer....

Will I be able to visit BLM-managed public lands?

All recreation facilities, including campgrounds, boat ramps etc., will be closed. If it is a non- developed recreational destination with no controlled access, you may visit. However, there will be no services and there will no non-emergency services available.

On the other hand, the Trump administration says they want the parks to remain open if the government shuts down, though with reduced services.  Unlike 2013 when Obama directed them to close the gates and erect barricades.  If true, this is significant because both BLM and NPS are part of the Executive Branch.

Government Shutdown May Not Close National Parks (https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/trump-officials-weigh-keeping-national-parks-open-even-if-government-shuts-down/2018/01/17/7837649e-fbd1-11e7-ad8c-ecbb62019393_story.html?utm_term=.ed1b226ded34)

Of course, all of this is speculation until someone who is actually on the scene lets us know what's going on.

Brewers arrived Friday at 1:30.  Said hello to those  I saw.  The fire ring will need to be relocated so plan on moving  rocks as your weight bearing exercise of the day.
Nice and warm so far.  A bit breezy.  Going to go look for my name tag!

Government Shutdown

For the RV Forum people. The government shutdown will have little or no effect on us. According to the attendants at the check in booth they will be there as they are volunteer people.  (you can't slash their wages)
The dump stations will most likely be closed.
Apparently, according to the volunteers, the fresh water cannot be shut off for people in the desert however it is shut down early in the day because of the demand on the well.
We arrived yesterday and there are already 16 Forum RVs here so come on in.
I cannot vouch for other than our area.

Update

Just came from the pay station. The pay station was instructed this morning to close, dump stations and water are open now but subject to change.

According to the host "come on in and park wherever you want" it is on your honor now.

Confession, Yesterday during informal introductions of new attendees, I announced a morning  walk at 10 am. to get exercise and  empty trash bags. Wind  blew so hard  all night that it  kept me awake. Low last night was 52.  I did not  make it out to see if  anyone went on walk.  There is always tomorrow.

Looks like  those who arrive today may  get a "discount" if the kiosk is not collecting  funds.  Heard that  long, long, long time attendees Richard and Linda Sharp are not going to make it this year.  Linda is recovering from pneumonia so  the desert is just not a good place for her this year.
Talked with Fred Thomas this morning.  Said he was first here in  1995. He  is in Maine bundled  up at zero degrees.

I forgot to pack the  RVForum signs but I will still be taking  photos of attendees and do up a collage for posting "you were here in 2018 " after our  rally!

Ok typical desert weather. It clouded up and rained this afternoon.  Temps dropped to  50. At  4pm ( semi designated  happy hour time, it was too wet, windy and to  sit out.  BUT at 5 pm it had cleared so I went to "sit out."  Was the  only one there. Note lone chair in one photo.

Finally was joined  by friendly RVForum folks as we seek  framily! Or was it the brownies?   Introductions again and we are picking up members enticed  by free tools, parts and service by Bill Waugh and his stacker full of goodies.  ( man cave)

Finally someone suggested we start the fire.  DONE but we all bailed before it finished.  Not all of us are from Minnesota!

Yep,  I like to post photos!

Forgot to mention  Len in photo   above.  He spilled his drink into  his chair! He pouted about the loss of a good drink just because he was adjusting his seating!   No problemo, he got a dry chair and started out again!

Gotta love the resilience of RVers.

To  cadee2c

Welcome to your first time attendance at an  RVForum rally in Quartzsite AZ.   Many of us know your RV has been here before  (driven by Ned and Lorna Reiter.)
We also appreciate (big time) that you hunker down when weather is cold.  We heard by campfire tonight that the big tent is crowded! Even at 9 am.

So please everyone, join us at happy hour  Sunday to tell us all your Quartzsite purchases!

Looks as if we'll be a bit delayed. Got to Santa Fe last night (beautiful day, but windy), but we woke up this morning to a couple of inches of snow. It seems to have stopped now, but I'm extremely reluctant to drive this rig in the snow so, unless things change, we'll spend an extra day here. Will update should things change.

It just occurred to me that many of you may not have known about the NWS Graphical Forecasts, which can be found on this site (https://digital.weather.gov/?zoom=6&lat=35.05437&lon=-108.66187&layers=00BTFFTT&region=0&element=0&mxmz=false). Precip probabilities, temperature forecasts and more are shown on a map -- you can even zoom in for more detail. It's very helpful for determining when you can travel where.

As Terry's photo captured,  despite cold  winds a whole bunch of us  gathered for introductions at the  happy hour tonight.

Most popular couple were the  Nash's  as  they brought  pictured sandwiches to share!
Caryl ventured out but  hubby was too cold to join us.
I saw  Dan and Marge arrive but they  skipped happy hour too.
Phil and Wendy Lou (pictured)  from an Diego area joined us by car as they  enjoy the luxury of hook ups at a park in town.  Hoping they can come learn how to boon dock when  they return next year.

Met Jerry who is a cancer surviver and friends with Jim.(Paul's brother)   He trailers a very sweet Mercedes  behind his rig!
Henry shared that he is a "Professional RV Tester" having had 3 RV's within the past 9 months.  Margaret was not so sure this is a good occupation!

Gary made an appearance but Maria is still coughing so she was absent.
Ann and Paul  spent 2 hours in line today at the dump and we did not see them  out and about this afternoon.
Wishard friends',  the Coties' ( pictured) enjoyed the day trip to Desert Bar today and have the T shirt to prove it! They brought  Aspen logs to  burn for our fire.

Bill again announced his shop is open for tools, parts and repairs.  He is such a generous person.
Joe and Doreen repositioned their rig to get more sun and her hand signals were  the entertainment of my afternoon.  They finally got her in the slip!

Betty shared that  Mike and Wendy are absent while  they tend to Gordon who is their 13 1/2 year old  Labrador. Gordon is not doing well and we all send hugs of support to  Mike and Wendy as they face the next steps with their fur baby.  Betty explained what it means to be in the  RVForum.  We are  friends who support each other. We are like  family to each other. In other words we are FRAMILY!

I did not take  any photos today and I even skipped the first part of  Happy Hour.  We discovered a good time to visit the BIG TENT is at 3:30 pm.  You can get front row parking spots and there is lots of  room in the aisles.  I made a beauty product purchase.  Watched the  guy cut vegetables with the  exact  utensil I bought last year.  It is still in the plastic  bag so I watched the demo to see how to use it.

We ran over to  Taco Tios and had a bite of Mexican food.  Got  back and Happy Hour was still happy.

I did my annual pass around  a white envelope should  anyone care to contribute to this RVForum of ours. I collect money and  mail to  Tom Jones to run the  RVForum.  I also noted there is a DONATE  Button on the  top line menu of forum should your credit card be more convenient.  I'm here till Sunday morning for envelope return.

Some of us have saved money from  what we learned here on  RVForum, for others it has cost us a lot  when we see just " what we need" from our  framily.  Tee hee

Would  love to see you and Sue join us.  Any others on their way out? Does the early time  of 1pm  work for you.  I just made that up tonight.  I miss Wendy who helped form the rules!

The new  people are really fun and following all the rules!

When we left the Canyon last Oct, plans were to be in Q for Dec-Feb.  Then my kid announce his marriage(in FLA, in April)and we decided to stay in Arkansas for the winter as opposed to making the cross country trip twice(host job at the Canyon again this year).  So now, here we sit in Arkansas with our coach in the shop with frozen/broken water pipes, waiting on the insurance guy to give it the okay.
Probably would have been cheaper to make the 2 drives.  Enjoy the desert, folks.

Next set of announcements or information  or gossip of the day Tuesday Jan 23, 2018

A few of us ventured out off road all "air downed"  to find pictographs we  had found in past RVForum events. A deep cave revealed some critters had slept there !
We missed  Marsha and Wendy ( past leaders)  as we found first set of pictographs  but  the  corn holes and  one mile hike were not to be found!  So the only thing to do was to go to  Bakery in Quartzsite to find Fritters.  A minor delay as  Terry rescued a Wyoming Van who got stuck in the wash.  On to the patio dining and not pictured was the trip to  LA Mesa RV where Henry showed us his  newest vision of his next RV.  A new  40  foot Phaeton!  Stay tuned

Pam Nash wins hands down best  snacks as she provided  a BLT  roll today on the heels of her  little sandwiches yesterday!
Larry and Loretta Dodd arrived this afternoon. Whoo hoo friends!

The t shirt of the day is worn  by Tom and is   illustrated here. Love the new guys!

I love Stella Artois Beer as does Debbie and her fancy cozy!
Larry and Mary Ann make it here  after battling weather.  Welcome!

Another Beautiful day in the desert. High today was  73 with a low of 30 last night.  A few walked this morning at 10.  ( to empty our trash) Much activity  in the group. Barb and Frank arrived. Bill left, Larry moved, Jim test drove a rig, lots of vehicles  came and went  but I can't keep track of everyone. My cousin Jim and  friend Claire came to visit. Mary Ann is leaving in  am due to a death in family. Hugs to them.

I went to Big tent at  3pm  and walked over to  Tyson  shopping area. Got an little orange skillet to fry one egg. Got  an ice cream scooper.  Got some  garlic oil for salad dressing or a dip.  Got a bunch of  dented cans at the food store for only $3.

Returned and Happy hour was in full force!  Happy people visiting  and snacking! Took a photo of sunset sky which was  beautiful.  Photo was not worthy of a post!

Off  road ride in  am will  leave at  9 am. Channel 33 on CB, bring lunch, chairs and a smile!

Best news of  day was that  Wendy will be here tomorrow!

Well Gary I hate to be the bearer of bad news but there are two problems with your Condors photo. Number one is there are no Condors south of Flagstaff. Number two, that is a Turkey Vulture, not a California Condor. The dead giveaway is the hole through the head via the nostrils. They are both big dark birds with red heads and they love to eat dead things, but they are definitely different species.

Number two, that is a Turkey Vulture, not a California Condor. The dead giveaway is the hole through the head via the nostrils. They are both big dark birds with red heads and they love to eat dead things, but they are definitely different species.

Please don't tell anyone.    :-[

Don't feel bad Gary, it happens a lot especially at the Grand Canyon where there are a lot of both species.

Sorry I missed reporting on yesterday. I was  busy.  Off road  run to Dripping Springs involves getting up early to fix  lunch so  I was tired in evening.

We welcomed Wendy, Mike and Gordon to  the fold yesterday!  Happily she is now in charge and reviewed Name tag rules. We  had a ball on the Jeep trails. Bruised another ball and lost one  ball.  (Come on now...I'm talking about a hitch and a  tennis toy.

Labeled photos .  Terry is in here a couple of times as he usually refuses to be in photos.

What no one tried to emulate Jerry and drive over the berm.  Looks like it was a tame trip.

Lou, You would have loved this run.  There were some pretty good drops, climbs, big rocks and shaking.  Only 3 vehicles could fit at the top.

We left Larry N's stock  Jeep at the  bottom as he would  not have liked his clearance.
Missed you here.  Next time!

Oh Margi,
You are  the  greatest  cheer leader ever!  Did you note I only post  photos from a distance that do not show the lines, wrinkles or extra weight.  Hubby is camera shy or always taking the photo

Conversations at the  happy hour table reminded me again that this RVForum Framily is about connecting around the fire, on the trails, in the big tent and on the " internet. "   Someone mentioned that this RVForum has a huge diversity  in  backgrounds and experiences that is impressive.
I am ever so grateful for those friends who return to our RVForum Quartzsite Rally.  This means we welcomed newcomers enough that  they felt comfortable enough to return!  But I will now again and again apologize for my missteps on  names and name tags. If you are a Joe or a Bill I may forever confuse you and your spouse! My  Senior moments appear to  be days long!  So sorry. But  it does provide some Happy hour laughs!

Friends who've been here  before  are  remembered in our hearts and  photos BUT ONLY IF I  got you  in front of my camera1

A few left and Sylvia from 2 year ago joined us.! Potluck is at 1  Saturday. Caryl shopped Q tent and areas  and lost hubby! Tom bought solar panels! Terry and Frank traveled to big tent to  get ice cream.  Wendy and Dan & Marge are featured tonight because apparently I
omitted them from  2017 photo and promised double coverage this year!   Super group of people!  We are Framily .

A couple of photos. Terry is a long time phone man so of course he searched for Dial tone as we discovered Deer Park Resort  today.  All I heard was hello. hello!

Betty you are bang on, this forum has such a great group of friendly, helpful people.  It is a shame that timing didn't work out this year as we are driving west in a couple of weeks, or we would have dropped in again.  However, we do plan on renewing a couple of RV friendships on our travels.  Pictures once the mini rallies occur.

Saturday 1/27/18   Potluck Day  Final day of RVForum Rally.  (unless you are  among the many who are staying over)

As "one in charge" I always sweat the weather, will it be too cold or windy for potluck? Will it rain, Will anyone attend, Will there be enough tables, will anyone  like my crispy cabbage salad? Gotta say that layered enchilada casserole  in a "cowboy casserole pot"  was a hit.   All of those Pams' can cook!

Happily all turned out great. Jeff and  Sue Cousins joined us from Surprise AZ. ( He took a break from his  campaign for Board Member at Happy Trails) Don and Peg Miller drove in from Camp Verde,  AZ with another of  Peg's homemade, this time chocolate  delights. Don also brought RVForum Flags for sale.  He sold a couple and  has a very few left.  Send him a message to get your RVForum flag for your windshield .

Hugh and Denise surprised us  with a visit  as they reside in Brenda AZ a few miles away.  They  joined RVForum a week or so ago as they  sought  information on full timing.  They wandered around the desert for a while before finding the big group  in a circle eating!  Yep it was us. We invited  the guy in his travel trailer that has  been our close neighbor this week. We invaded his territory and he was very quiet so we wanted to thank him for his hospitality! He  had a bowl of chili and was a very nice gentleman. Said we could stop by any time!

Name tags have been the themed rules and two of my closest friends came with their names in lights so that I  may get them straight. Battery operated. I'm impressed right.....  Joe  and Bill!  Love the humor and the forgiveness for never getting it just right!

Some of us never left the lunch time circle and happy hour creeped up on us quickly by 4.  Very interesting conversations followed about military experiences.  We all have so much in common.  We are a terrific bunch of folks. Old and New friends continue!

I'm  inspired to continue next year with  some " games", skits or songs Stay tuned.  Terry also offered up a suggestion to  do a hot dog roast  in lieu  of potluck.

Farewell until we see friends again. Some of us in Yuma tomorrow!

After a 2 year absence from the Q rally, it was great to reconnect with friends.  My daughters would like to think Betty and the other ladies for scolding me for the non use of my new best companion [crutch].  Setting next to Jim when he called the group to order was an ear shattering experience - good job Jim.  Hope to see all  of you next year.

It was good to see you again, Bill.

There are still a few of us here. With a high of 81 deg yesterday, happy hour was slightly delayed, but we had a nice time last night until well after dark. Most of the vendors are gone now, and the big tent, of course, is closed, so traffic jams aren't much problem, but there's still good times going.

One other nice part about staying here after the show is that my Verizon data service runs much faster! I finally got the blog updated and got to do more web surfing than I have been able to since we got here. Nice! We intend on leaving Thursday, but plan to enjoy the time with the remaining forum members until then. Tomorrow we get up early to see the lunar eclipse.

Some of the folks here went to Silly Al's tonight, and some of us had a nice time around the campfire. Tom and Theresa are leaving tomorrow, and I think we are too, unless something occurs to change our minds. So we'll slowly head towards Tucson. It's been a great time here in Q.

It seems strange to be reading ABOUT the Quartzsite rally after the fact.  We enjoyed being with family in Oceanside but we also missed being with you all. So glad Gordon has recovered. It sounds like Bill's workshop was well used. Betty, thank you for posting both the photos and the narrative so the rest of us could enjoy the rally from afar.  Safe travels, everyone, and see you down the road somewhere.

There is so much to say about our first Q experience. And all of it is positive.
We started with a week in KOFA with Kevin Means, Debra17, GeneS, AStravlers, Sarge, and a few others. Then it was two weeks at LTVA Posa Wash with too too many forum framily to list. We made so many new friends. What a great group.

We left this morning and landed at Sundance RV Resort in Yuma. They were giving away coupons for three nights free and another three nights at the sister resort just down the road. This will be quite a change from the last three weeks. Iím not sure itís for the better, but we did enjoy the band and a dip in the large pool. Too bad we are sandwiched in like sardines. Weíve already had a run in with a neighbor thinking our space was his to park his three vehicles. The highway traffic is as loud as any generators we heard!

Hereís a shot at the fire ring from two nights ago. L to R: Paul, Jim, Jerry, Brenda, and Len.

Thanks to all for a great experience.

We are leaving QZ today, heading to a full hookup park in Huachuca. I know wewill be parked check to jowl with other RVs, and I will miss the space and views at Tyson Wash. Sigh. But I really do need to make another batch of yogurt, and it will be nice to not to turn the generator on to make the espressos every morning. Hopefully after a week in this park we find another nice dispersed site again.

Tom you  and Theresa are the reason Quartzsite keeps on happening.  New people with enthusiasm, an open mind and a Positive  Mental attitude are attractive features to this desert experience. Lots of  you guys fit that bill this year!

I go to  Zumba class at  9 am every Monday and Wednesday in the ballroom at Sundance.  Have Theresa join us if your stay goes through Monday.

This was my first time at Quartzsite, for the area and for the rally. I had a great time and can't wait for next year. We ended up staying until yesterday. Even then we didnt want to leave. I think we will be spending more time there next winter. My only regret was not joining in more with the campfires and other stuff. The evenings were too cold for Bob (and me too even) most of the week, so we spent most of our time inside.

We are now in Yuma at the Rivers Edge RV Resort. Right next to the interstate and packed in like sardines.  :( Spent the day doing laundry and getting all the dust out of everything. I figured it was time to do that when I noticed the bottom of Bobs black socks were white.  :o Tomorrow we will go to the prison and play tourist. Maybe I can get Bob locked up. :D

We are leaving Sunday to head toward Tucson for a few days, then will be heading back to San Antonio just in time for Bobs cardiology appointment. Depending on how that appointment goes, we may or may not be back on the road heading somewhere else soon.

Caryl, it was nice to meet you and Bob. We too had hoped for a little higher temps but refused to let the chill deter us from the campfires.

The description of your Yuma site describes ours to a tee. We are in Sundance RV resort. Sounds like we are camped in the I-8 median. Neighbors sound like they are inside our coach. There is a really nice heated pool and hot tub in the rec area. We enjoyed the entertainment and a dip Wednesday and Thursday. Wouldn't want to spend more than a few days here though.

Safe Travels,

Tom

We are on the California side. Pot is legal here now and one of our neighbors is making full use of that fact. Judging by the various times I keep smelling it, hes making up for lost time. I dont mind that people smoke it, I just dont like having to inhale it. But I must say, its better smelling than cigarettes.

Ok we figured out the pictures and enjoyed reliving the memories.  This was our very first Quartzite experience and we enjoyed every second of it.  We will definitely be returning next year, God willing and the creek donít rise,  to see all your happy faces and warm laughter.  Our jeep trail was super thrilling and unforgettable and we canít wait to do it all again next year.
