New IVA regs start 29 April 2012

I note that imported motorhomes will be subject to the new IVA regulations from 29th April. Anyone have any views on how this will affect matters?

Given the number of US manufacturers who are no longer around, that would appear to slam the door shut on the C of C option for many makes and models for which a type approval does not already exist.

Is there some register that lists prior 'compliant' makes/models? If so, then it would appear that Option 1 could be used in some circumstances.

Have the criteria for compliance changed, making prior compliant vehicles no longer compliant?

I wouldn't want my RV to be subjected to the destructive test in Option 2  :(

Looks like a lot of ancillary reading needs to be done.
