Free Water Testing program....a little advise.

Having nothing better to do on a beautiful day in Florida, I thought I might warn some of you of what I experienced.
Some time ago we fell for the offer to have our home water tested for free. I had no reason to suspect anything was wrong with our soft, clean water. We get a periodical report from the water department outlining the quality.
Well, here he came with his bag of tricks. I watched him carefully doing the test. Filled a glass of water from our kitchen tap. Lo and behold, whatever he did then was invisible, the water turned white and almost became totally opaque. There, he said, you have a problem.We have, he said, a good system for clearing up that problem at a good price.
Being a natural cynic and logical thinker I semi-virtually threw him out the door.
The reason I am posting this today shortly is after hearing a radio commercial ad promoting that activity

Many of these folks have been in business for a long time. My advise: Beware.

IF you are concerned about the quality of water, Your city, or county or state has a testing program.. If you can not easily locate it find the "County Extension Agent".
He can put you in touch with the right office.

I've had nothing but nightmares from the hard water in Florida.

It is so hard it broke the bottom of my bath tub in my coach.....
