(1/3) > >>

Ramzfan:
I'm thinking about buying an Alfa 36' See 'Ya motorhome with a 330 Cat Diesel and an Allison transmission. Anybody got any horror stories?

Frank Hurst:
I have a 2003 Phaeton with a 330 Cat & an Allison transmission and have had no problems.

Don't think this answer will help the OP much, he is looking at an Alfa. The major problem that contributed to Alfa going out of business was not related to the engine/chassis combo, it was blistering of the outside walls and doors. If  the one you are looking at does not/did not suffer from this (...many did) it might be a good deal. Alfa are generally well equipped.

Gary RV Roamer:
I agree with Stu - if the exterior skin is in good shape,i.e. no blisters or pits - then I would give the rig strong consideration. Alfa built a pretty good coach.

Ernie Ekberg:
3 years ago, I stayed in an Alfa for about 10 days while I was working on the couples other coach. This Alfa has the tallest ceiling I have ever seen. The cabinets are everywhere. It is a full timers dream. One of the coolest things - the outside door for the trash container. The only downside- the A/C was floor ducted and not too efficient.
