Just imagine the waiting list for base housing now.  Glad I'm out of there and retired.  They don't even qualify to be buried at a VA cemetery anymore.

I sure have trouble with your "soap box" rant.  It's that way of thinking that keeps the country looking backwards.  "Just imagine the waiting list for base housing" would infer that you believe there are lots of gays in the military and also infer they don't deserve the same consideration and respect as all the other soldiers and sailors.  This Memorial holiday doesn't delineate gender or sexual preference as far as I can tell.  Shame on you for even bringing that up.

I'm probably starting something I shouldn't ..but...
I though those "rights" that Seajay eludes to were put forth by our nations founding "Fathers" and Veterans were the defenders of those rights...not the givers...
As for the "Soap Box' issue...I don't have a horse in that race...
