Memorial Day wekend, not on the road, but what a day
« on: May 27, 2012, 09:43:56 AM »
Di and I were planning on being on the road up Hatteras way. However, do to things way beyond my control we are home in SC. The Sun City traveling team with the Vets drafted a three team over "50 softball tournament" with Marine Corp Paris Island, The Army team from Savannah and our team. All the proceeds were to go to the "Wounded Warrior's" The soft ball club cooked 2200 hot dogs and the vets sold Poppy's. All told the reports were they raised in the area of $5000 for the cause. Good for the Sun City folks and Hooray to the fighting men and women who came and made it all possible.

Sometimes thing do work out for the best, but we will be on the road Wednesday, hopefully.

Road trips can wait.  This event was much more important.  It's in the true spirit of Memorial Day.  I'm happy you could participate.
