What would you pay

My wife and I are following a 2003 Big Sky on Ebay and would like to know what you think  reasonable price would be for the unit. I know it's a rough call from just pictures but this is what I have to work with. Also, if anyone knows any thing about the seller I would appreciate that feedback.

I would want to buy under NADA low retail.  I have some friends who have a Montana and really like it.

captsteve:
NADA low retail is $17,690. I would think if there is no bidding war 12,000 would be a great deal.

I read the whole ad and he seems to be on the up and up. His feedback is 100% positive. I would call him and ask some questions. It might be a good deal for you.

Thanks for the reply. I am still new to all this so please, what questions would you ask?

captsteve:
I would ask if there is any signs of roof leaks, now or in the past. Go over all the things that have been tested and ask about condition of carpet and upholstery.

I would also plan on taking it straight to a tire shop and get new rubber and get brakes checked. It is a 2003 and might have original tires. See if he will give you the date codes for the tires.

At 12k, you are way ahead of the curve and I think that a couple grand to make everything the way you want it is reasonable. Then you are still below retail.

So, whatever you decide, budget some money for repairs, there will be some.
