Thor Ace 29.2 Fresh Water Tank

(1/2) > >>

magrati:
Thor tells me the drain valve for the fresh water tank in the 29.2 is located under the bed in the rear.  I cannot find it.  Any help one can give would be much appreciated.

Thanks

I think the tank is under the bed (accessed by lifting the matress) but I think the drain is in one of the bays on the passenger side of the motorhome.  I *think* it is in the one immiately left of the door.  Our ACE is in for repair, so I'm could be way off base.  I just remember the drain is tiny and kind of set back/hidden.  It seems like it would take forever to let water out of there.  I figure if we have to drain the fresh water, we will just run it into the sink and flush it out the gray tank.

The only drains i'm aware of are in the bay with the macerator pump.  There are 2 little valves that you pull up, the one on the right side will let the fresh drain by gravity(takes forever), the one on the left will let you use the water pump to empty the tank(this is what i use).  If there is a drain by the tank i'll need to find that, i looked once but didn't see anything in there but perhaps i missed it.  I just use the water pump and the left drain valve in the bay by the door.

Harlee 79-thanks for your reply.

As I said in my first post Thor insist that the valve is under the bed.  Like you I told him that there is no valve under the bed.  The dealer told me that there are two valves in the cabinet to the left of the door.  The one on the right is for draining the fresh water tank and the one on the left is for draining the fresh water lines (combined hot and cold).  I am not sure how the hot and cold can come together to drain at one location.  If I find out more I will let you know.

Thanks

Did you ultimately find out which valves were which, and the best way to drain the fresh water tank?

Thanks,
