Towing a 2009 elantra

Does anyone know if a 2009 elantra can be towed and how should it be towed without putting miles on the car while being towed

You can go here: http://www.remcotowing.com/ and then click on Application Charts, then select your make and model and it will give you the answer. It depends on whether or not you have an automatic or a manual transmission.

IF you can tow 4 down, the mileage doesn't accrue while you are towing.

The automatic is not towable and Remco doesn't have anything to modify it.  The manual tranny can be towed as is.

Thanks guys my car is an automatic and does need a tow dolly..guess the wife will be following me for awhile lol

I just bought a 2011 sonata and will tow it in a KarKaddy tow dolly....  Bought used ss460 for $1400...  about the same price of a base plate and braking system....
