- Betty Crocker Potatoes Buds or any instant potatoes (for 8 people)
- 2-2/3 c. water
- 2-2/3 c. instant potatoes
- 2/3 c. milk
- 4 tbsp. butter
- 1 tsp. salt
Follow directions on instant potato box
- 1 8 oz. package cream cheese
- 1-1/2 c. sour cream
- 8-10 potatoes, cooked, mashed or the above instructions for instant potates
- Garlic salt to taste or garlic powder if salt isn't in your diet
- 1-2 tsp. chives
- 5-6 tbsp. butter if using real potatoes
Add cream cheese and sour cream to prepared potatoes beating until light and fluffy. Season with garlic salt and add chives. Spoon into 2 qt. casserole (greased). Brush with soft butter. Sprinkle with paprika.
Bake 30 min in a 350 degree oven. If made ahead & refrigerated bake 1 hr. or microwave for 30 min. on high.
