Company potatoes

  • Betty Crocker Potatoes Buds or any instant potatoes (for 8 people)
  • 2-2/3 c. water
  • 2-2/3 c. instant potatoes
  • 2/3 c. milk
  • 4 tbsp. butter
  • 1 tsp. salt

Follow directions on instant potato box

  • 1 8 oz. package cream cheese
  • 1-1/2 c. sour cream
  • 8-10 potatoes, cooked, mashed or the above instructions for instant potates
  • Garlic salt to taste or garlic powder if salt isn't in your diet
  • 1-2 tsp. chives
  • 5-6 tbsp. butter if using real potatoes
  • Paprika

Add cream cheese and sour cream to prepared potatoes beating until light and fluffy. Season with garlic salt and add chives. Spoon into 2 qt. casserole (greased). Brush with soft butter. Sprinkle with paprika.

Bake 30 min in a 350 degree oven. If made ahead & refrigerated bake 1 hr. or microwave for 30 min. on high.
