Places to dump tanks

edited by Tom Jones

Many of us boondock (no hookups), but sooner or later we need to empty the holding tanks (aka dump). The following suggestions for finding places to dump were provided by forum members and staff.

A macerator pump, sold at Camping World and RV parts stores, attaches to the sewer connection of your RV. A garden hose connects to the other end, allowing you to dump right into any sewer connection.

Most campgrounds, even if you're not staying there, will allow you to dump for a small fee.

Some highway rest areas and most Flying J truck stops have dump stations.

RV Dumps lists places to dump along the interstates.

The Fleetwood Discovery Owners web site has a number of map add-ons for computer maps such as MS Streets & Trips & Delorme Street atlas. A couple of them show dump sites across the USA.

Another website for dump stations is American RV rentals.
