The front tube TV on our coach died, and I replaced it with a 26" LCD TV recessed into the original cabinet.
Not wanting to do a lot of cabinetry, I decided to mount the 26" TV using a backboard recessed into the original cabinet
After removing the old TV, I had to clean up the jungle of wires in the cabinet and install a pair of new quad coax cables from the antenna.
Next was a couple of 1"x2" strips against which the backboard would rest. Then I installed and secured the backboard complete with the mounting bracket for the TV.
After mounting the TV, I had sufficient space for a DTV receiver and a new (replacement) DVD player.
Modifying the original trim was going to be a challenge, so I merely installed it 'upside down'.
The final step was a black metal screen to hide the DTV receiver and DVD player.
