I pulled the trailer down to the Coop scale last fall & it weighed about 7600# loaded so I think I will be OK. I am looking for heavier tires for the truck, I never have been fond of pmetric tires.

FIL's 12 1500 Ram has 3:92 gears & 6 speed auto trans. It gets 20 mpg empty & 12 towing 8000 lbs. It pulls better than my HD 2500 6.0 gas 4:10 gears.

I am not going to let it bother me. I carried before I had a conceal carry permit.  I don't darken the doorstep of the stores that ban legal conceal carry.

Backing in on the blind side will be easier after a few times. Just remember to have 1 spotter & don't get in a hurry. You will be fine.
