Which would you keep? (aluminum corrosion issue)

We decided not to make the decision yet...going to take them both out separately this spring/summer to really get a good feeling for each and the pros and cons of each.  :)  Talk about being grateful to be in a weird situation! We couldn't be more excited!

We just bought a 1988 Holiday Rambler! Now what??...

Sorry for taking so long to reply with updates...  After having the minor needed repairs completed, we added 6 new Cooper tires. Immediately after buying them, we bought the must have tire covers. We found them online at several places and decided to go with a set from Walmart because of all...

Which would you keep? (aluminum corrosion issue)

Earlier this year, we purchased an '88 HR Presidential and fixed and/or updated many items...all that's left to do is new steps (motor not working) and a fresh paint job, it isn't needed, we only want it done because it's really sun-faded. Here is our problem: Last week, my DH parents called...

Dometic freezer rust. Typical? Or problem brewing?

We bought a 1988 Holiday Rambler and the refrigerator and freezer seem to work just fine. However...the freezer shelf underside is covered with rust. Is this typical or are bad things in store? Should we leave it alone or should we clean it with a wire brush, etc?

Newbie on open road, new RV .. Now what??!?!! Plates, cutlery, work station??

We actually have Corelle and paper plates. The Corelle is lightweight and somewhat compact. We mostly use the paper plates for all the easy/non-messy entree's. We stayed away from the plastic dishes, as most can't or shouldn't be microwaved.

We just bought a 1988 Holiday Rambler! Now what??...

The batteries are doing great. I don't know how old they are, but they can't be too old.  We bought a solar panel (18 watts) to trickle-charge them. DH just needs to install it. We plan to add more as funds allow...

We just bought a 1988 Holiday Rambler! Now what??...

Thanks, that's good to know. As for the propane...the tank was empty, but we had it filled just prior to taking it to be tested. I called around and double checked about her notion of our LP tank having to be certified and was so glad I didn't just take her word for it. She even tried to scare...

We just bought a 1988 Holiday Rambler! Now what??...

Update #1: We are keeping our updating budget to a minimum right now, until we know how much we're left with after everything gets serviced. I did buy new bronze drawer/cabinet pulls to replace the original polished brass pulls. 35 of them!! I found these on clearance at Lowes for only $1 each...
