    Best Blocks?

2-foot long 2x12s is all I have ever used. Bought two 12-foot long 2x12’s, cut them into six pieces and presto - an even dozen 2x12 blocks for a fraction of the price of those plastic things.

Thinking of buying 2013 Thor Hurricane 29x. Anyone have feedback in terms of build quality?

Yes, I do. With a bit more research, I think you could find something a LOT better than that unit. As I said above, in my opinion it shows too many signs of outright neglect.

Trains, Difference Between Europe and The US

I worked in the railroad industry for many years. I’m a licensed locomotive engineer and was a corporate officer in a regional railroad. The map the OP showed is terribly misleading. It shows only the transcontinental main lines, but does not show the vast network of branch lines, regionals...

Thinking of buying 2013 Thor Hurricane 29x. Anyone have feedback in terms of build quality?

I looked at the pictures. WOW! I wouldn’t take that thing if they gave it to me for free. There are far too many signs of neglect there.

    How to Store Glaucoma Eyedrops

Does your coach have a generator? If so, you can start it and run the coach air conditioning while driving. We do it all the time when traveling in the summer.

8 of the Biggest Lies About Diesel Engines

The problem for trucks and other large vehicles is fuel storage space. The energy density of diesel fuel is THIRTY TIMES GREATER than a Lithium-Ion battery of the same physical size. Battery tech must improve drastically before it will be viable to the long-haul trucker. It ain’t gonna happen...

Weary of OTT hype stories about the Eclipse

Do the letters “BFD” mean anything to you? I cannot believe all the nonsense surrounding this totally predictable and normal astronomical event. The country truly has gone nuts.

    Engine temp monitor

Say WHAT?? You should be scanning ALL your gauges ALL the time as part of a regular scan routine. This is coming from a retired commercial pilot, so I learned about building my instrument scanning skills many years ago. That habit has served me well when driving, too. You cannot just zone out...

    Best route around Baltimore

Why not just stay on I-95 straight through town? Easy. You could also get on I-895 and go around the city, and get back on I-95 northeast of town.

how hard it is to back in covered park 12 feet wide when the RV is 8 feet wide

Discussions like this highlight why I firmly believe there should be a separate driver’s exam and license for trailer towing and driving large vehicles like motor homes. If there was such an exam, there would also be some training involved in order to pass the test. That would improve the...

how hard it is to back in covered park 12 feet wide when the RV is 8 feet wide

AMEN! I’ve driven our diesel pusher well over 100,000 miles. In all that time, the ONLY time I ever hit anything while backing up was the ONE TIME I used a spotter. I was watching him instead of watching my mirrors and backup camera. I ended up taking the electric meter off the side of a...

Just connect the “AUXILIARY +” wire to the positive terminal on the towed vehicle battery! That will fix this. Easy.
