Broken plastic hot water heater plug

For future reference, when I had the broken-off plug issue many years ago, I had a small hunting knife in my tail box. I inserted it into the broken-off threads, taped it gently to seat it, then turned it w\a pair of pliers to remove the nylon threads. And after that, always replaced the plug...

    Strange Norcold Issue

Never found a solution ... just unplugged the heater as described, then replaced the Norfolk w\a residential in 2014. As for fans, note that the 1201 already has 2 large pancake fans in the upper area of the stack behind the refrigerator. Very difficult to see, somewhere above the low access...

    Gas versus diesel

We are in the process of trading our 40' diesel pusher (Winnebago on Spartan chassis) for at gas class C. The primary reason is that we are not traveling as much, and have had problems in recent years with lack of use causing "crud" growth in the diesel fuel, leading to probems with engine...

Winnebago Journey - should I use a water pressure regulator?

Yes, always use a pressure reducer or regulator when in sore water. Many places you may not really "need" it, but you never know. I have been in parks that were very proud of their 120psi water pressure!

Should I start my motorhome every so often when in storage?

Agree with Ed. Do not start it unless you are going to drive it for a least 45 minutes to an hour. Same way farm machinery is treated,  and that equipment lasts for many, many years.

    03 sightseer slide motor replacement

I wasn't aware Winnebago was using Kwikee slides in 03. Hopefully someone w/ knowledge of Kwikee will chime in.

Air Dryer Location - 2003 ultimate Advantage 40K

The air dryer canister is at 3d on the attached service diagram, on pax side rear.  It should go on from the top down rather than from underside up as the oil filter does.

    DEF tank location

Most class A Winnebago diesel coaches have a diesel fill on both sides, so you could fill both diesel and def from the pax side in that case.

    Replaceing Icemaker

I replaced mine twice over the years. Replaced with Whirlpool universal ice maker kit, Part #57773 Model #ECKMF94 from Lowes  (identical match including electrical connector). Kit includes icemaker, tray (too large), water valve/solenoid, and all wiring as if you had no icemaker before buying...

    Hydraulic line replacement

Thinking that other end would be at the hydraulic ram under the bed in my coach ... don't know your floor plan.  My bed goes out with the slide.

    Intellitec display

Mine has gone blank a few times over the years.  Each time,  I unplugged the network-type cable from either the inverter or the back of the board.  Wait at least one minute,  then re-connect, and that apparently re-booted the Board.

    Roof Coating Products

Dicor self-leveling caulk should NOT be used over the top of the Nu-Flex self leveling silicone based caulk that Winnebago used when they built the coach because Dicor will not stick to it.  Dealers (even ignorant Winnebago dealers) slop on Dicor routinely when there is absolutely nothing wrong...

Dash Entertainment system - ERA 170x

Winnebago has historically used Ford radios, but I would think a rig like that works have oem Mercedes stuff in the dash. Either way,  I would expect any competent installer could make it all work just as Winnebago or whoever installed it originally was able to.
