Adventurer 32T - the ongoing adventure (AKA issues) :-)

Interesting...I have been operating under the assumption of what the manual says.  I guess I should look for my connector finally and run the code scanner.

Adventurer 32T - the ongoing adventure (AKA issues) :-)

Where did you get that from?  Because I quoted and am looking at the factory Ford Manual for the 1999 Ford F-53...  Are there 2 99 F-53 models by chance?  Kind of like cars do split year models sometimes...

Adventurer 32T - the ongoing adventure (AKA issues) :-)

The generator only charges the house batteries via the 12 volt converter, which also supplies 12 volts to the house accessories while running.  The same converter charges the house batteries and supplies 12 volts to the house when plugged up at a campsite.  The engine battery is only charged...

Where to find LP Valve Assembly

Cannot seem to find the LP valve assembly with float.  Anyone have an idea where to find...preferably online.  Local winnebago dealer doesn't have it and said he cannot get it from the dealer.  He says he has a third party vendor he should be able to get it from, but if I can find it, I'm sure...

    Lost Generator Exhaust Pipe

Hi, have a 99 Adventurer 35C with Onan Gen Set.  Trying to figure out what size the exhaust pipe was because I lost it somewhere on the road all the way up to the muffler.  The port on the muffler is 1.5 inch and I looked at the Illustrated Parts Breakdown and it shows a 2" and 1.5" inch but...

    Rooftop AC freezing up constantly?

Get up on the roof and take the cover off (likely just a few phillip head screws holding it down).  Get a wet rag and/or air compressor and wipe off the thing that looks like a radiator on both sides.  Also open up the section the blower is in (probably a metal cover with several small screws)...

Coleman A/C Blowing Really Weak - Fix Action

I have a 99 Winnebago Adventurer.  The a/c model number is MODEL 8632-876.  According to the parts breakdown sheet I found on winnebago's website, it's a coleman air conditioner.  I'm sure this motor is used in various models.  Determined the motor on it was replaceable and found the...

    over heating issue

I bought the replacement fan clutch from O'reilly's Auto Parts.  Also, rent the fan clutch removal tool from them.  You use the fan clutch wrench from the bottom and have some hold the big wrench that holds the clutch in place from up top.  Then you can separate the clutch from the fan from up...

    over heating issue

Yeah, I called a dealer and they showed a thermostat...seems no one sells it except amazon and the dealer...well at least Auto Zone, Advance, and O'reilly doesn't show one.  But that is a non-issue now as I found the problem.  While the replacement of the fan clutch seemed to help some...it...

    over heating issue

Replaced the fan clutch this morning.  First few hours driving, it seemed liked it made a difference.  Still doing better but went hot a couple times...  And I hear it come on now, where before, I don't recall hearing it in a long time.  Will try to clean out the radiator fins....they don't...

    over heating issue

I can spin the fan with the engine off....  Where did you read this means it bad?  Is it a definitive source?  It would be great if it is a reliable source...better than a guessing game.  Could it not be just the clutch disengaged?

    over heating issue

I am having a random overheating issue as well.  1999 F53.  I was going to replace the thermostat as the first guess...but the parts stores say the F-53 doesn't call for one in their parts listing.  Next guess is water pump or fan clutch...no signs of leaking - all my other pumps in any...

HWH Leveling Jack Stuck (it's not the springs)

Thanks for the input...hopefully cleaning with do something. I cleaned it some earlier and will clean more of the seal area tomorrow morning.  I got tired of dealing with it today.  ;) I don't want to delay my travels waiting for rebuild or replacement.  Hopefully I can just get it up...
