Can anyone explain how the mechanism attaches to the top/rear on a palomino popup?  It seems that it rotates as it lowers and raises but I am not sure where to attach.  I had to tear out all the wood and the po had put a bunch of extra brackets on for support.  Thanks.

So I am now the proud owner of an older (mid 80s) Palomino Mini S.  Its going to be a restoration project, but its a good foundation.  I haven't had much time to dig through it, and thought if anyone had any information that might help me (known problems, weight, etc.).  I'll post some pictures...
