The friendliest place on the web for anyone with an RV or an interest in RVing!
If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
no, and i'm not likely to. my real interest lies in cellular/mobile broadband and as i understand it, the jefa is a wifi repeater only?
many other users have given (mostly) good reviews of the jefa...
You can read my entire review at: http://j.mp/wifiranger
THE BOTTOM LINE
The WiFiRanger has one feature that no (current) mobile broadband router does: WiFi as an internet source.
Beyond that hardware feature, I'm pleasantly surprised by the company's commitment to the RV community and will be...
With 4g around the corner, you may want to consider getting a vzw usb760 modem from ebay or craigslist (carefully) and then do an esn swap to activate the usb modem in place of the internal modem you are paying for now. This keeps you from a new 2yr commitment.
You will want one of the mbr...
Multiple sources are reporting that rumored "tiered pricing" for Verizon's data

as explained by Lou, so long as you actually have Sprint network available, you should not see any difference.

the challenge is that many people prefer not to use the default wifi settings on the mifi... some folks have to change encryption settings to accommodate differing operating systems, and most everyone prefers to rename the station ID (SSID).
my opinion is that you want to do ALL of those...
My suggestion would be to first setup your mifi to work with all your computers, and then i'd download the latest printer software to run their utility that associates the printer with the mifi. Hope that helps.
Fyi, this should get you to latest hp software for your printer: http://bit.ly/a3jX83
upgrading your internal wifi card is not mandatory. the cradlepoint mbr1000 supports wifi b/g/n
sure, you can put a mifi in a window to receive better cellular signal, but remember, you'll only be able to use the ipod touch as much as 30ft away from MiFi, because of its weak wifi signal.
don't...
i'm sure its been mentioned on this forum before, but in case it hasn't...
folks need to beware that Kyocera has dropped out of mobile broadband game and will never update the KR2 or the older KR1 router.
