Got notified by email of a reply to this very old thread. Still big savings buying in USA versus Canadian dealer. I bought a 2018 Thor Challenger 37TB in August 2017. It has been a hassle going back to Elkhart, IN for repairs but the over $15K in savings made it worth it. RV One in Buffalo is...
Yes lots of complaints in forums about Thor. Statistically they'll have more since Thor sells far more RV's than other manufacturers and people are less likely to post their good experiences. Facebook has a good forum for Thor owners: https://www.facebook.com/groups/thormotorhomeowners/
I...
I was able to patch up the holes with a vinyl repair kit good enough to sell it privately. I sold it locally in Canada ~$7000 USD over what the dealer would offer on trade in. I shopped it around since I ordered mine in January 2017. I could have sold it immediately for a lot more in the summer...
Yep leather fell apart. Dash A/C quit just after I sold our 2013 ACE 30.1 spring of 2017. Fortunately our generator never overheated but we're in Canada so highest temp was 38 C while sitting in bad traffic with coach A/C running.
Overall I agree it's a poor quality product. So is the 2018 Thor...
Old thread but this is the first hit on Google Search so this info should help others searching for the same solution.
All of Napoleon's 285 Portable Grills can be adapted for low pressure quick connect to your RV with the "Napoleon 66287 RV Adaptor Kit for Portable 285 Grills". You remove the...
There was one for humans: http://www.ctvnews.ca/health/health-headlines/whatever-happened-to-the-lyme-disease-vaccine-1.886946
They got sued over side effects that are debatable if they were related. Then gave up due to the rising costs versus profit.
Total shame because it's a nasty thing for...
In our area ticks are rampant so Lyme vaccination is yearly. Had one attach for 1 week to our whippet before we found it last summer. I've not seen any side effects and the large vet hospital we go to recommends it to everyone.
I'm considering the Ideal Sciences Temp Stick product for our RV. 2 AA batteries last 1 year. Since my wifi hotspot has a battery that runs for half a day (and is plugged into the 12v system) I'll still get the text message alarm if the power goes out which would probably be the most common...
Been a while since I've been active on the forum...
Last weekend the front bunk on our 30.1 which is the same as the 29.2 etc. broke! All of the screws that hold the metal long hinge popped out of the wood.
It's a heavy beast but luckily I had just enough strength to push it up to the ceiling...
One more item I noticed is that the Toronto International RV Show that I've attended in the past never has any USA dealers exhibiting yet many are located closer to Toronto than some dealers attending from Ontario.

The show is run by...
Thank you to Chris for helping discuss this topic with Bella Vista RV Centre Inc on their Youtube video that's pretty popular since it has received over half a million views. I'm pasting the full discussion here since it could get deleted from the Youtube video and it's harder to follow the...
Thanks Chris and GIB
Bella Vista RV Centre yesterday responded to some of the comments posted on their YouTube video on the topic: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YMU0y0Qjoak
GIB confirms what I've read elsewhere that buyers are paying extra for the CSA stamp. This is unnecessary according to...
