Hi... I see you are selling your hideout....
The biggest thing to be looking for when upgrading trailers is to balance what you liked in the old... Does the new do it better....
What you didn't like of the old.... Does the new choice solve or improve the problem....
And... Are YOU happy with...
I usually just flush once... my tank doesn't have a built in washing system. I am mainly concerned with things running clear. It usually, dump, flush once, dump grey tanks... done...

this particular time I flushed a few times because it needed it. trailer was loaned to a buddy. They didn't clean the tank. my sensors were all haywire. I had the time so I did a really good cleaning. nonetheless just sharing the repair process.
I cut open the vapor barrier in various places. And pulled a trash can full of insulation out. I'm gonna let the dehumidifier run till tomorrow evening and then leave the trailer belly open thru the weekend. And reseal this weekend. Hoping to avoid a mouse invasion.

Ya it was my 4th or 5th flush.. my final for the trip... no carpet got wet... odd...
mopped the floor and stuff with a diluted bleach solution.... and am gonna have the carpets cleaned anyway...
any recommendations for insulation replacement?
I went to HD lastnight.... and rented a huge dehumidifier...
the guys at RV.net recommended that i cut the vapor barrier, remove the insulation... replace... after venting a few days... I guess gorrilla tape is a fav. should i round up some tyvek stuff, and once the original is taped up, tack...

During a backflush... i got distracted and didnt hear my alarm... and find my trailer flooded...
I have since checked all of the systems.. furnace, hot water, and all accessible compartments...
Dry. Everything works...
There was a significant amount of water in the furnace ducting...
I could definetly bypass the main tank... But still need to move the fuel in the line... I found a few low psi pumps... Since ill have power anyway... I can run the pump off a switch in the trailer.... Remote start the genny... Bada bing....
Any thoughts...

I have a boliy generator. 3600 electric remote start jobber.. Great unit. I am building a custom box for the bumper that will hold a fuel cell and the genny.. It'll be top notch... I'll post pics of drawing and the build process. I might farm it out to my fabricator for my truck...
