    Interstate 90 through Cleveland

I live East of Cleveland and rolled through there 3 weeks ago on our way to Alaska...... no problems and traffic downtown is not the problem it once was.  I know there's been a lasting 1 lane closure on the innerbelt bridge and there is a posted weight restriction.  Good Luck. Dogu

    Class A with bunk beds

Tudpuddle, The shower in my '08 Sightseer is 25 w x 48 l.  I didn't measure the height but I'm 6' and have no problems.  I know there's a skylight/dome above the shower so I would assume if you're 6' 4" or smaller you shouldn't have a problem.  The dimensions I gave are inside the sliding glass...

    Water Pump Cover + issue

I traced the lines from the hot water tank.... I can't seem to find a blend valve.  There is a hot water tank bypass valve and I can follow the hot line out of the tank to a 3-way junction but I don't know if I have a blend valve.  After I flushed the hot water tank and followed directions for...

I took my dish off my house... now what?

I removed my Dish 500 dual LNB (110/119) from my house.... I also took my receiver & remote control.  My receiver has 2 inputs for satellite #1, Satellite #2.  As set-up in my house it had a splitter attached to the 1 cable from the wall that went into each input. Question:  There are 2 lines...

    Water Pump Cover + issue

John, I agree... it seemed a bit odd for Winnebago but there is a sticker on this "wooden box" that lists part # and says "pump cover".  I thought the same as to insulating but there is NO insulation and there are large gaps (holes) cut for input/output hoses.  I'll flush the hot water tank and...

    Water Pump Cover + issue

I trying to figure out why there is a wooden box cover over my water pump.  2008 Sightseer 35j.  The only way to remove the brackets on the box (+ remove box)  and access the pump/strainer is to remove the plywood from the bed.  Also, the pump seems to sputter only on the hot water side.  Cold...

    Class A with bunk beds

I'll go out & measure but it's a double wide.  I'm a big guy and it's much more comfortable than the small box shower we had in an '06 Aspect. I'll post the measurements if I remember.... thanks! Doug

Need bra for '08 Sightseer 35j - Any suggestions on where to look/buy?

When I was looking at used 35j's a couple months ago I saw one on-line that had a bra.  I did a quick google search for rv bras (Winnebago)  but nothing close popped up for a Sightseer.  Anyone have experience with bras?  ;) Thanks! Doug

    Crack open those fridge doors!

I love the push pieces on the Norcold fridges.... beware that even though they are extended my kids still force close the doors.  It's nice that they engineered those little pieces to retract if forced closed (without breaking).

08 Sightseer - Does the charger operate while the engine in running or when the generator is running

thanks for the reply.  I should have read my manual before I posted this question as it clearly states. "House batteries are automatically charged by the chassis alternator while the engine is running."  I will attempt to read the directions prior to future questions.  Thanks!

08 Sightseer - Does the charger operate while the engine in running or when the generator is running

If I may continue this thread.....  I have an '08 Sightseer 35j that came without an inverter.  I had the dealer install an inverter because I wanted to replace existing TV's plus the kiddies have lots of games + other items. I'm concerned about running down the house batteries while under way...

    Class A with bunk beds

I recently looked at Winnebago Vista 32k (new) and Winnebago Sightseer 35j (used-2008).  I also needed bunks.  I chose the Sightseer based on perceived quality differences and a king size bed in back.  I test drove the new Vista two times and it was a nice rig but I preferred the ride and longer...

Things I learned - Mostly the hard way

No Air Conditioner or Microwave.....  last year, last week of a 4 week trip my family and I sweated a few nights because the AC was broke.  Generator ran fine.  TV worked.  Shore line got knocked a little unseated from return plug which I thought I checked.  Felt pretty foolish explaining to my...
