Recommendations for CG near St. Louis, MO

We stay at 370 Lakeside Park.  Quiet and safe. Close to hiway, plenty of nearby restaurants and nice walking paths around a lake. New park. Not much shade. Great facilities. Make reservations, fills up quickly on weekends.

Every been pulled over by the cops??

Not long ago I was in a really small city heading to a local CG. I missed a sign and pulled across the intersection. There was some kind if a painted roundabout so I made a left turn over the roundy. I then traveled about a mile down a narrow two lane road before the city cop pulled me over. He...

OverDrive app coupled with library card for borrowing ebooks

I use overdrive to download books from the library at least 2-3 times a week. The library gave me a handout on how to set it up. We are lucky because we can download books from 2 large library systems because of reciprocal  agreements. We?ve had our library cards for so long, I don?t remember...

    Storage lot breakin

On 11/5 I picked up my MH from truck shop after some routine maintenance. I store it in a ?secure? lot with cameras etc.. some time that night some clowns broke into to lot and damaged and stole items from about 20 units, mine included. They threw an object thru the entry door, breaking the...

AARP - real benefit or not

I have not found AARP advertising to be cumbersome, i called and was removed from all AARP advertising. But they must sell their mailing lists to everyone.  I do not buy insurance etc from them. I do get a small discount on my auto insurance from Auto Owners. DW and I take the driving ?test...

    Slide Won't Retract

John. There is a good place for breakfast in Tipton. Tipton Family Restaurant. Herbert Hoover was from West Branch. There is a good Museum there. Beats the waiting room. I assume you know there are plenty of free electric sites at HWH.

    car bra

I agree with clean. I sewed several beach towels together and put under bra. They are easier to clean in washer. Only adds a minute to putting bra on. Used bras and towels for more than 20 years without damage to the cars paint.

    Best Job You Ever Had

In 1959, between my jr and senior year in high school, I worked on a ranch/farm in Kansas. They hired 12-15 teenagers, boys and girls, for mostly gofer jobs run here, clean that etc..  But about the last two weeks of the job, we cut, baled and stacked hay. We bucked bales of hay til We dropped...

    stuck in Louisiana

I agree with Isaac-1. You are right.the hardest part is finding the right hose. I?m assuming the leak is on top of the fuel tank. My hoses were wire tied on top of the tank, makes it tough. If it were me (& it has been me in the past) I?d concentrate on getting the slides in and into a shop that...

    stuck in Louisiana

I have an Itasca Ellipse with HWH slides and jacks. The hydraulic lines are routed over my fuel tank and are impossible to remove. I had the same problem, down to stripping that bolt. The mobile repairman went to Napa had a new hose made and replaced the leaking hose. He fished it over the fuel...
