    '74 Midas Mini revamp

You are undertaking a great task. Please don't get disheartend. I have some experience in repairing a class C I once owned. There may be some difficulty in tying all the front framing turns together. The framing results needs to be very strong. Add bracing anyway you can to the joints. It...

Older Tiffin Class A vs. newer models - advice?

rgnprof, We once owned a 34 foot 1996 Winnebago Adventurer. It had two AC units. It was a 30 amp. But we could run one AC (either) while on shore power. We could run both AC units using the generator without shore power.

    Slide Out Broken

This is a very old thread. I don't know if anyone will see me or not. My problem is, the previous owner had the carpet replaced with simulated wood flooring. It's about 3/16" thick. The slide worked several times after I bought the unit. But the long glide bar has broken and the slide has...

    2002 Holiday Endeavor Airbrakes question!

I'm like evitagen, I bought a Holiday Rambler from an individual and have never had any experience with air brakes.  He told me to push that knob in to release the brakes for driving and to pull it when I stopped.  However, he did tell me to wait for the pressure to build up to 90 before...

6-Speed Transmission in 1995 Fleetwood Bounder with Diesel Won?t Go Into Gear

Jim, from your post it seems the "auto Park" was giving problems.  I have certainly had such problems.  Roger Haag, [email protected], has been a tremendous help to me more than once.  He is (I hope) still located on the east coast of Orgegon. May the problem never show again.

    building with off-the-shelf components?

Find an RV salvage yard.  They will let you remove the things from their supply you need or they will remove them for you.  Truck them away to your place and have the pleasure of installing them in your van.

    hi yall

Ask any question you like and someone will reply.  Tell us what is working or not working and someone can tell you if it should work, why it works and what to do about it. Many problems are solved simply because forum members respond when someone needs help.

    What is that awful smell?

No, I would look for another park if that was the normal there.  Once at a park in North Georgia, my black tank developed a leak and I was so embarrassed.  I handled it the best I could and no one complained.  After I got home, I bought a plastic welder and repaired it. Move on to another...

    Completed my RV Tech Training

Good Lord have mercy John, a blown engine is bad bad news.  There is an engine shop in Moultrie, GA with a good reputation.  It was Parker Engines.  But I think it has another name now. I don't know where your are, being 50 miles from the Florida line.  Also Cox Salvage is in Moultrie.  They...

    generator to run A/C

I have an Onan in the motor home that works great.  But you don't want a Onan.  I have a Power Train, 6500 watts contractor series I use on a few jobs.  It has a starter to get it going which I really like.  It has always served me well.  I bought it a few years ago for $800.  I think they are...

    P-30 Chassis radiator/AC fan

Lordy, Lordy, I should have reported back sooner. After a few of you gave me your thoughts, I took the motor home to the shop for a minor AC job and the tech found a bad electrical connection going to the electric fan. In October 2014 we drove the motor home to Cherokee, NC and had no problem...

    cb mount

Well, with the help of forum responders, I installed a Firestick antenna in the same location as the original antenna.  I removed the original coax and routed the new cable so that it is completely concealed from the living area. I didn't actually find use for the cb on vacation.  I found very...

    tow bar and base plate

Reading these old post convinced me to spend the money for the proper base plate for my Jeep Wrangler.  I decided to use the 99 Jeep Wrangler as a tow for awhile.  I have the whole deal from the 98 Chevy Tracker, but, the base plate will not work on the Jeep.  $399 + tax & shipping seems a lot...
