Where do I insert Extend a Stay

Remove the plastic pins holding the regulator cover. Install the tee downstream of the shutoff valve before the regulator. You can probably re secure the regulator cover with zip ties in the existing holes, if not re drill holes where needed.

Propane - is double regulation a problem?

Going through two regulators won't work, the pressure going into the second one will be too low. If you have a low pressure connection with a quick connect fitting for a portable grill you could connect into that.

    Dinghy towing vehicle

Might try a Ford F-150 pickup with the aluminum body and a small motorcycle in the bed. The trucks are flat towable and the aluminum bodies keep the weight down.  With a small motorcycle you might be able to keep it under 5000 lbs.

Furnace burner fails to burn ignite coninuously

Make sure you don't have anything restricting gas flow to the furnace. I have an extend a stay set up on my RV so I can supply the furnace from a 30 lbs portable tank. I installed an in line tank level gauge on the propane line at the tank so I would know when it needed refilling. When I did...

    Another propane leak

Tighten it up. If its a pipe plug it's tapered and it will seal as you tighten it. If its a straight thread it a will have a gasket under it that will seal as you put pressure on it. I spent forty years in an oil refinery tightening up on leaks. No big deal

    Roof air conditioning woes

If you do have a shed system I doubt that it is causing the problem because you said the fan runs on the unit but it doesn't cool. When my power management system sheds one of the ac units it shuts down completely, fan and all. There are numerous things that can cause the compressor to not start...

I don't see a surge protector in my coach

Read the literature that came with your transfer switch. Some transfer switches will not connect to shore power unless the voltage is correct and have a surge protector built in.

Replacing hot water tank with instant unit?

Do your research before you jump into this. When I ordered my current M/H I thought I wanted the instant hot water heater but the dealer suggested I check with people that had them before I order it. They had customers that weren't happy with them and even a few that even replaced them with...

    Leaking rear axle seal

Rear housings are vented so they don't build up pressure inside the housing as things heat up. If the vent is plugged pressure could be building up causing the leaks.

    {More} Winterizing Questions

Usually the shower drain in a RV doesn't have a conventional trap like you see in the sink drains. They normally install traps that allow water to drain out of the shower but don't allow it to come back in from the tank when you're driving. These type traps dont have water in them and can't...

totally new to towing a car

If you want to tow the truck with all four wheels on the ground you need to check the owners manual for the truck to make sure it is possible to do that. You also need to make sure the motorhome and the hitch on the motorhome are rated for the weight of the truck you are planning to tow.  Most...

Dolly vs flat tow and tow master dolly

It depends on the vehicle you plan on towing. Some vehicles can only be towed with all four wheels down.
