Actually they are very similar especially on the bottom end. I work on both motors all the time and I have seen just as many problems with the 6.4. What makes the 6.4 worse to some degree is the difficulty in working on it.
Avoid the 2003-2011 Fords. The International produced 6.0 and 6.4 are not engines that I would recommend to anyone who isn't a mechanic. The engines can be modified to be reliable but it often comes at a great cost. Expect to put between $4k to $10k in the motor of just about any of those...
Hello all, I have a Gulfstream C36FRS and need a new awning. It had a Carefree awning but I would like to replace it with a Dometic 8500. Im getting a 23' model and have a center support. Is it worth the money to get the model with the metal weather shield over the vinyl?
