When you try to rotate it are you pulling down on the white ring. You have to pull it down some as there are notches on the top of the ring with corresponding one on the plate above the ring. Don't sweat the handle coming off, just look at the crank handle and there is a set screw in it. Put...

Questions about Backing up a hill

Try it and if it is to steep you might be able to build some ramps to place under the trailer tires just before they drop down into the gutter and a little ways up the drive. This would keep your trailer from dropping down as much in the rear.

We traveled 11,000 miles for over 2 months to Alaska and back. Wife myself and our 40# Mini Labradoodle. We weren't in a tt but a 10.5' truck camper with no slide outs. A Northern Lite camper. Spent every night in it and one very miserable night in mid 90 temps in Denali NP sicker than a dog...

what does backup camera ready mean on new trailer?

On our rig it meant that the camera mount was on the rear and had power to it. It is a wireless Furrion setup. I put in the observation camera with the wireless receiver screen in the truck. I have to turn on my marker lights and this powers up my camera. Works great.

If the driveway fairly level you should be able to push it with the method described above. Make sure you have someone there to block wheels as you are moving it. It is amazing how much a few people can move something on wheels. I have a sloped driveway and I have a manual trailer dolly. I can...

Run generator on fifth wheel while traveling?

There are many times class A/C MHs run their air while traveling down the road as the vehicle air is not big enough to keep the whole rig cool and the cab well get warm also. So they run the generator and the roof airs.

    Towing capacity

GVWR stands for Gross Vehicle Weight Rating. This is what the truck payload is rated to haul not to pull. Meaning if the truck empty scaled weight was 7,000# then the additional payload weight that the truck would be rated for would be 3,000#. The 3,000# would include fuel, passengers, things...

    Need advice on Ford F150

Yes they would have a 5500# pin weight but there are Ford F350 DRW regular cab trucks rated for over 6700# payload. I know this would have to be a stripped out model but they are there. Heck my Ram 3500 Lariat Mega cab dually is rated for a payload of 5445# payload (this is the yellow sticker on...
