    E2 weight distribution hitch question

So I haul a 23ft jayco travel trailer with my Yukon, and I have the e2 weight distribution hitch installed. I've hauled a few years with this set up now, but I keep noticing that my brackets in my trailer tongue loosen up and can cause my bars to pop out in turns on occasion. The issue is much...

Crock Pot - off Car Adapter AC Inverter - Help?

I'm starting to book this seasons campsites. We've got a few long hauls (4-6 Hour trecks) planned. I'm looking into getting a 300W inverter that plugs into the car adapter in my TT to run a crockpot. The one I'm looking at is here...

    LP Quick Connect Hose?

I was hoping we could somehow get ours to work, but I was exploring the possibility of it not being compatible as well. In my exploring I did find the Coleman Roadtrip grill and saw several reviews where people had adapted them to run off the low pressure LP lines. That was going to be my next...

    LP Quick Connect Hose?

Hey guys! We have had out TT for 2 going on 3 years and just now discovered that we have an LP quick connect hose near our back bumper!  ::) We have a Coleman 2 burner outdoor gas stovetop (the kind you normally use the little 1lb propane bottles for). Are there any hose adapters so I can just...

RV for the dogs story. Lets hear yours

My dog came camping with us before we had our TT. So when we decided to take the jump and purchase a trailer, we took considerable time choosing the floor plan, she was a huge deciding factor. When you have a  large dog (120lbs) who loves going everywhere and doing everything with her people...

    Running 12V Batteries in Parallel

Hey guys! Quick question, I'm looking into purchasing an additional battery and run it in parallel to increase my longevity while dry camping. The issue I am running into is I cant seem to find a battery box big enough to house both batteries. Do any of you have a similar set up...

New to site, but not to camping

I live in MN too, and also purchased the State Park Plates. I like that I don't need the sticker in my window, and quite a bit of our camping is done in various State Parks. I agree, its a great way to get what you want(State Park Pass) And help support the future of the Parks!  :)

    Everything but the kitchen sink?

I agree with Peggy, cream of mushroom soup and you wont have any issues on your roast, or when you make beef tips, or even stew. When I make pork (weather roast, or pork chops) I use cream of chicken soup. The only meat I've found that likes to try dry out is chicken. In most crock pot...

    Everything but the kitchen sink?

One thing I strongly suggest for your camper is a crock pot. AND Crock pot liners. I always meal prep too. I know I have an oven, and range in the camper, but for some reason it makes me feel better having a meal plan, and having what I need to stick to that meal plan. So I get as much of the...

What Do the Numbers and Letters Stand for in TT Descriptions?

My Jayco 23MBH is pretty easy. 23= The body of the camper is 23 Ft (26 ft Total length hitch to bumper) M = Murphy Bed BH = Bunk House

Do X-Chocks Replace Standard Wedge Chocks?

Okay! So the last year of using out TT we have been using plain boring Camco wedge chocks. Yesterday while re-examining my camper wish-list on Amazon I noticed that the price on the X-Chocks I had watched was lower than when I had added it to my list. I paid 60 bucks or so for a pair. My...

    RV Storage

I don't have much help for you for the actual location to store, as ours just goes in a pole-barn at our house. BUT as far as insects and mice go - We have a few lines of defense. I suggest a total cupboard clean out, bring all your food and utensils and towels and linens inside. Vacuum the...

    Equal-I-Zer 4PT Sway Control/Weight Distribution - Experience??

After shopping around for different weight distribution hitches, I stumbled upon the Equal-I-zer hitch. Its both weight distribution and sway control in one unit. I'm thinking this for sure will be the way to go for towing control/comfort in the Yukon. After researching it online it looks like...
