I did have a caliber freeze up on the front. What a mess!  Evidently the front brakes get pretty hot on these things. The slotted rotors are suppose to run cooler, which should help out.

Is there anything you can change out on front brakes to improve them? Do they make a slotted rotor to fit? And do the slotted help alot with heat? Chuck

The book says Dextron III but it doesn't give any capacity information. Do you have any idea how many quarts I would need? Chuck

I'm switching to full synthetic trans fluid. What type, brand do you guys recommend? I did look at some Mobil 1 but that stuff was nearly $9 a quart. I figure I will need 8 or 10 so that would get real expensive. Chuck

Do the seals wear out or shrink? I can fill it bowl with water and watch it go down. I was considering a new toilet anyway (foot flush). Chuck

I have the 1998 brochure and it shows  80/fresh, 50/black and 58/grey. I would bet if yours is different, it's not by much. chuck

For anyone interested in the speed bleeders on a P30, I found them at Napa. Their part number is 675-1566. It is a two pack for $11.29 They worked great! I flushed a ton of old fluid out and I now have harder brakes than ever. Chuck

Well Bad you hit it! I ran it again yesterday till it shut down. I went around and took the fuel line off and there was no fuel. I also put my hot wire jumper on it to see if it would run but it was dead. I took the pump off and it was extremely hot. Chuck

I think I have eliminated the fuel pump. I ran a new hose to the outlet then hot wired the pump. I ran nearly 5 gals of gas into a can without a failure. Does anyone know where the sensors for oil and heat are? And how to test them?    Do you think I should look elsewhere for a problem??? Chuck

It's got to be temp related whether it's over heating, fuel pump or fuel line. I'm going to see if I can get the fuel pump off so I can run it and reproduce a failure. chuck

I thought this issue was over with but it's back again. I have ran the generator under full load in the driveway at least 3 times. I would let it go for 30 min to an hour each time. It never shut down.  I went out today to get propane at Flying J which is 5 miles down the road and it shut down...

I have the P30 chassis and  454 engine. There is a drain plug on my transmission. How much fluid can I change just by draining the pan? Chuck

Seafoam is good stuff, IMO. I wouldn't use it thinking you are or might get any performance improvements. However, if your issue is dirty injectors, etc I think it does do a great job of cleaning them and in that case may improve performance. It does of course as mentioned help remove water from...
