New RV - Winegard antenna system

Hello all, First year with the new 2022 Sundance trailer and I find that our radio is virtually unusable. I believe it is run through the Winegard system but does anyone know for sure? Bringing the unit in get some 1 year warranty stuff fixed and not sure whether I should include it or not? I...

    Places to stay in November

Well, we made it back safe and sound some 6,500 kms later. Here's where we ended up staying: Swift Current - Kilton Hill Campground Winnipeg - Arrowhead Campground (stayed open one night for us) Thunder Bay - Happyland Campground (Kakabeka Falls). No water in any of the sites, but Arrowhead...

    Places to stay in November

Hello all! Just purchased a Sundance 231 ML. Will be picking it up in Medicine Hat, AB on November 8th. Trying to find places to overnight in for the following cities. Swift Current, SK Winnipeg, MB Thunder Bay, On Is there anyone here who knows of places that are open this time of year...

    12V only refrigerator

Obviously a sensitive topic! I dry camp way more than I do connected to shore power. In Canada, our sites are heavily treed and a solar panel on the roof is likely useless. Just sold the trailer in my profile. Gas Electric and a regular battery will last 3 or 4 days with minimal electrical use...

    12V only refrigerator

"Onto another subject for a moment. Why do you carry a battery charger?" I'm aware of the converter/charger, but as mentioned we dry camp (no power) and with a gas/electric fridge we could go three or four days before the battery died. I bring along a second battery, but charge up the second...

    12V only refrigerator

Good day folks, it's been a long time since I've been here. We just sold our 2010 Spree 240 BHS because it was built to sleep 7 and our kids have grown up and don't camp with us as much as they used to. Time for a new layout for the next phase of our camping life. We're looking at new trailers...

    The World Series

Great game last night and unfortunately the other team won. I'm nowhere near Houston, but wanted them to win because they were the better team. Only saving grace for Washington, is that they stuffed this in Bryce Harper's face! At least I'll get more sleep in the weeks ahead.

    The World Series

Game 7 tonight! And I disagree about sucking...?.great pitching by Scherzer and Strausburg?.it's too bad that Washington really doesn't have much better than that. Defense is on point too....not many errors. Still hard to stay up to midnight when you have to get up at 5 am. Go Astros!

    Good smaller TT's to checkout

Not really in the market but been looking for something similar. Add to your list a slide out for the table. Currently have a 10 year old 24 ft cabin trailer that is 6,500 lbs empty. F150 pulls it with no issues (unless you consider crappy gas mileage an issue!). And that's loaded with all of...

    The World Series

Can't bring myself to cheer for Washington since they are the Montreal Expos relocated...?.however, so sweet they are doing this without Harper! One man does not make a team. Astros have more inbred talent (a good thing) than any other team in the MLB other than the Rays. And.....I love and...

Towing with a 3.6 L Ford F-150 Eco Boost Gas Mileage

I am not complaining either.....just curious if my numbers related to others driving a similar vehicle. I also say the same thing about a truck in general....if you're gonna complain about the cost of filling it up, you shouldn't have got a truck in the first place!

Towing with a 3.6 L Ford F-150 Eco Boost Gas Mileage

Yes I'm Canadian, but remember when they changed over to metric and can't for the life of me interpret litres per 100 kms!

Towing with a 3.6 L Ford F-150 Eco Boost Gas Mileage

I recently lost my 2009 F150 to a deer. I replaced it with a 2014 F150 with the 3.6 L Eco Boost engine. I towed with it for the first time last week. Travelling from Guelph, Ont to Kingston, Ont I averaged around 9 mpg. Coming home, things were a bit better and I averaged around 9.5 mpg. My...

Our Yellowstone trip... FINALLY... Need suggestions

We went out there a few years ago. We stayed at the Rafter Bar J Campground in Hill City, SD and it was gorgeous. In Cody, we stayed at Ponderosa Campground which was little more than a parking lot, but it did have all hookups. I agree with all who posted about temps. It was really hot when...

Sanitize Hot Water Tank before winterizing?

Thanks so far......I guess I'll try the vinegar and bleach (separately) and see what happens.....Still have some time before I have to winterize.....just ahead of the race for once. Also added that the anode was almost like a greasy, oily black in my original post.
