    Royal baby watch

In what ways do they work "incredibly hard"?  I ask because I know nothing about it, and am genuinely curious.

    Royal baby watch

I don't know about that.  The Spanish Duchess of Alba has (had?) an estimated worth of $4.9 billion.  This is her photo, btw:  http://www.thetimes.co.uk/tto/news/world/europe/article3181007.ece I'm not sure Spain, particularly nowadays can afford their royals, but, for better or for worse...

    Guiltiest dog ever

I know (and knew) you didn't mean that.  I'm sorry to nitpick, there was no need.  Maybe what one could mean is that although all dogs are deserving of love and gentleness, your dog just beams that out so obviously, so one would think that even a "borderline" cruel person would be melted by it...

    Guiltiest dog ever

"you tell me with a face like that who could hit that dog except for a pure monster." True, but that's also true for even a very un-cute dog, right? Our poodle growing up once was stuck in the house for more hours than she should have been while we were out, and had an accident on the living...

Feeling uncomfortable while parking at Walmart in Kansas City!

It's possible she was mentally unwell? Where I live the local park has this unsettling "tradition" of people driving there and just parking their vehicles (cars or pickup trucks) and just sitting in them, even on nice days.  It creeps me out.  Get out, walk in the world, feel the breeze, smell...

    Noise from others when full-timing

Thanks for the info.  One follow-up question:  If it is unimproved land, what do you do about sewer, phone, internet, water, garbage?  And the propane is enough to heat it way "up there" in MI?  (And now that I know you are in a TT, this is back on topic.  :D )

Did you then have to build a house on that property, or was it already there, or...what?  I am curious about that type of option (and how to do it) so although it is rather OT, I hope the forum wouldn't mind if I asked you.

    Noise from others when full-timing

I live 285 yards from a railroad track; no clickety-clack; plenty of very low frequency rumbling that lasts for minutes and wakes me up a few times a year.  Irritating. I agree; the horn is harsh and alarm-like and I look forward to when we move far from a track (these past 5 yrs have been the...

Cost (rough) estimates for fulltiming, circa 2013

I looked at that page now for about 14 seconds and it looks amazing.  Awesome link!  I look forward to diving in...  :D

Cost (rough) estimates for fulltiming, circa 2013

[I looked a bit in the Library but didn't see anything right off; if there is something already written I should look at, please direct me to it] I know this is a difficult question to answer, but I wonder if I can try to get at least a reasonable sense for the range of costs associated with...

Transmission went out on first trip

Sorry to hear about your misfortune; hopefully now you'll be in good shape for a long time. I'm curious about costs for towing an RV--roughly how much of that $5k was the towing charge and how much the repair charge?

    Noise from others when full-timing

Thanks.  Just to help you calibrate how my mind works, your NM situation, if it really was two vehicles a weekday, sounds like paradise to me, noise-wise.  I would be droolingly happy in that sort of situation, and would gladly "endure" the few seconds of hearing a UPS truck and bus rumble by a...

    Noise from others when full-timing

I just have to ask, if you don't mind:  what parasitic disease are you referring to? Although that's certainly an interesting idea and I appreciate the suggestion, alas I think the only parasites involved in my noise issue at the moment are the people who live across the street.

    Noise from others when full-timing

Thanks, Gary, and everyone else.  All very helpful.  The thread has made me think that probably RVing is not for us. I had originally come to the idea because of the idea that I could move my home away from noise whenever I wanted, but it's become clear to me that a) Moving "on a dime" due...

Thanks, but that's not going to happen.
